if you’re this concerned about the privacy of your doorbell camera then make your own solution with a raspberry pi. then you’re in full control of the device and data.

anything else can be updated to send video elsewhere, promise privacy features it doesn’t have, be bought out and shareholders demand data mining, or be hacked.

it was implemented as part of all ISP/Telco’s legal intercept capabilities.

Use Tor, a VPN or a zero trust client like Cloudflare or Perimeter 81 to browse if you don’t want your internet connection records stored by your ISP.

that will just become profit for supermarkets. even if you legislate maximum prices for certain foods, it will still become profit for supermarkets but the quality will be reduced.
