I personally don’t like Material design in general, and if I had a choice I’d pick something with Apple’s design principles.

With that said, the more the merrier so I’m definitely rooting for the app. Don’t mean to sound discouraging. It’s just a preference, but I would definitely try it out at least.

I also think that maybe it takes a while, I’ll take a look later and let you know!

Don’t worry about it.

No worries, I’m still figuring things out myself. The link I posted doesn’t even work actually, I can’t find that community here but maybe it will show up eventually?

I also think a feature like that would be great but it seems like something that actual Lemmy devs have to look at. It’ll also probably take a while for users to use it, but I agree it’s a bit annoying when you just want to share a link.

Hi, could you edit your post so that the link is through beehaw? I don’t know the correct terminology, but it would be great if people here could access the community and actually see the advantages of federation.

Just link beehaw.org/c/[email protected]

kbin in a separate software from lemmy. The same way that Mastodon is different but still federated.

Thank you for sharing!

One thing I personally struggle with is accepting things I cannot change, and learning to let go of control. I think we can all use a reminder that sometimes it’s okay to just be.

It’s definitely Bob the oval and Kiki the star shape

just to add, this is known as an "euphemism treadmill"

I don't know enough about this, but maybe? Ever since I could remember, days of the week each had a different color.

Monday - Pastel Blue

Tuesday - Pea green

Wednesday - Yellow

Thursday - Dark Green

Friday - Orange

Saturday - Green again but more washed out

Sunday - Red

I have an undergraduate degree in computer science but currently work in marketing. I hate it most days, because it doesn’t align with my values. I hate that my job consists of increasing profits for bullshit companies, and I have no say in which clients we take on.

My day to day consists of getting tasks, feeling overwhelmed and do anything but work. I browse reddit(rip), get coffee, use the toilet, pretend I’m busy most of the day. Then I get a rush of productivity and do what I actually have to do reasonably quickly. It’s either random or I get pressured by deadlines.

Every day is a countdown until I can get home, and then realise I have to do it again tomorrow.

old.reddit is definitely going soon too unfortunately. I thought I’d just use that, but reddit’s actions in the past few days have convinced me that after 10 years it’s time to go.

Hi I’m in my mid 20’s, diagnosed with ADHD 2 months(?) ago, and in the process of getting diagnosed with ASD.

Nice to see this place growing so quickly. I want to watch reddit burn first, but I love that this exists now.
