With this and DOGE it sure seems the US is slowly destroying itself from the inside, all to the benefit of Russia, China and a few rich guys

Is it illegal to disobey an executive order? It's not a law so what happens if one refuses to comply?
The way a fascist government works is no different from any criminal organization. It's a heavily patriarchal structure that rewards friends and punishes enemies, and only the guy at the top gets to decide which is which.
With half of the US behind Trump, Fauci might be in real danger, and more like him will follow.
Yeah if they were a real party for the people they wouldn't need to search too long.
Wild guess here, but I have a feeling that if they find foul play from the CIA they might use it as an excuse to gut it / replace it with an agency more aligned with their views.
They see it as a problem because it challenges how they see the world. They have a hard time adjusting to how society has evolved, so rather than trying to change their beliefs they use their power to force the world to conform to their views.
Also, they're fascist assholes.
Saw this two years ago, it completely changed the way I understand the geopolitics of the last hundred years. And Curtis makes documentaries that feel like art, this one with fantastic archives from the BBC.
Maybe they can all leave and found a new newspaper?
