I had the HTC Touch Pro 2 before I switched to the iPhone. What a piece of junk that was.

Good luck proving/enforcing this. It’s lip service.

When have we as a society recently fixed the actual problem, and not the symptom? This is pretty on brand.

Yes, the above poster is a very patriotic idiot who doesn’t know anything about their own country. Not entirely their fault, however. America bad, after all.

It’s not edgy, it’s realistic and uncomfortable.

Is Antivirus needed in 2024? (self.nostupidquestions)

I have been computer free for probably 15ish years until I recently bought and set up a RPi4 with Linux. It’s been fun but I’m not really a super user so I’m looking to back to Windows as my main OS.

  1. is antivirus a necessity? I will be gaming and streaming on my new setup.

If yes then

  1. what are some ideal options? Paid or free.

Thanks for your responses in advance.

Miss Willow, with the beginning of a yawn.

Looking to get some anecdotal experiences from someone living in a cold climate using a heat pump as their main source of heat.

Alright, I’m in. (sh.itjust.works)

After weeks of stalking these posts I’ve finally decided to jump in and purchase my first pocket knife (x2).

Usually I see a post in here which leads me down a rabbit hole of looking at knives for an hour or more and then being overwhelmed and eventually just closing the tabs.

Today I did the same routine, but ended up purchasing instead. Treat yo self.

I picked up a Kershaw Emerson CQC-6K D2 (6034D2) and a SENCUT Fritch Green Canvas Micarta (S22014-1).

Not sure how to upload images on Mlem but I’ll see what I can do.

Did I make a good choice?

Soaking up the heat (sh.itjust.works)

My cat never sits on the couch with me. It’s a bit chilly today so I started a fire and lo and behold, she appears and is now a fan of the couch.

Why does shitjustworks have so many bots? I see certain communities like this where brand new accounts just spam random images. I have a dozen new accounts blocked every day and it’s getting tedious.

What is their purpose?

I have zero tech skills but was hoping someone with the proper skill set and motivation would be interested in toying around with the grocery chains in Canada similar to what the fella from Mastadon did in the linked thread.

I am willing to assist in whatever capacity I can - limited as it may be.

It would be nice to be able to bring to light the price gouging that is taking place in Canada with regards to grocery stores.
