I use restic. Stop the container, run backup, start container. you can script it to run every night or something.

I run an oracle free vps with caddy reverse proxy to route traffic to my home server over wireguard/tailscale. Been running this setup from last 4-5 years with zero issues.

every device you use bitwarden has a local copy of all passwords. Even if you nuke your server, you still will have access to your passwords.

The server is just use to sync changes. if there is no sync needed, you don't need the server.

been running my reverse proxy on caddy from last 4-5 years. No issues at all. No maintenance needed. Setup and forget. Just needs a simple config file. Auto certificate generation.

Google maps alternative that's as good as Google maps. Its the only service left that has kept me from degoogling 100%
