I am trying so hard to not just make snarky comments but Jesus fucking Christ can you actually read the quote you posted and think about what they may be talking about?

I'm not on twitter and never have been. That significantly impacts the information that I recive and I am usually getting news a day or so later than people that are on twitter. That has social consequences and means that I am less able to talk about recent events. That's just one example on how you can not separate yourself from the information economy without negatively impacting your socialization.

I'll never get the hate for systemd.

Yes I read the website on why you hate systemd. I just don't think it matters for the average user.

Screen protectors need to be changed way more often than a good case and they are usually similar is prices so this makes sense to me.

I am recently (last few weeks recent) out of the Navy. Not eoas but I doubt people are interested in the reasons and it would be easy to dox me if I got into details.

Its bad. Most of the people in the navy are more than willing to do whatever they are told. I was a role that had a higher than average level of people leaning left and even then most of them were explicitly republican even if they thought trump was stupid.

The military will just do whatever they are told unless someone higher up is willing to break ranks first.

Does it actually play better native than under proton/wine? Should be a dumb question but a lot of the games I've tried that are "native" work far better when I force them to use proton than let them be native.

I'm someone that is from tornado alley. I celebrate when they get hit now because it means that they have to experience the consequences of their actions.

My family is still there and I hope they can get out but, most of the people I met their would shake your hand while stabbing people like me in the back.

It depends entirely on what you are trying to do. There are a few people on YT that have made chips at home. they only have a 100 ish transistors though.

This looks amazing thank you for this. Never would have thought about switching before I saw this.

I'm a huge fan of the lack of downvotes on blahaj because it seems to make me focus on the negative less when I can't interact with it without commenting and taking a ton of time to do so.

But upvotes are still useful because I get some amount of filtering of the absolutely crazy stuff most of the time.

The people that want to be in charge of large groups of people are often the people you least want to be under.

I think a big part of it is because they defeded basically no one. Made it a great instance for modding from but also great for being an alt for people in undesirable instances.

We could do space mining today if their was any incentive to do it. There just isn't any reason to currently but if we start using fusion power (which China has made strides in recently) it would make a ton of sense to get He-3 on the moon.

Hell I give it 20 years before a private company at the very least tries to move one of the really rare earth element rich asteoids into an orbit around earth. From the calculations I've seen we could technically do it with current rocket tech assuming proper planet alignment.
