Even if we just had one more, it'd open up a huge new range of possibilities. Ctrl, Shift, Alt and now Var (or whatever)

As well as the 26 new Var + _ combinations you'd be able to have:

  • Shift + Var + _
  • Ctrl + Var + _
  • Alt + Var + _
  • Shift + Ctrl + Var + _
  • Shift + Alt + Var + _
  • Alt + Ctrl + Var + _
  • Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Var + _

Hundreds of new shortcuts! As long as you could remember them of course :-)

I can see the benefit, although personally I'm too attuned to ctrl+c,v,z,x

A key I'd really like to see on computer keyboards is a shift key that behaves the same as on a phone, toggling between lowercase, Title Case, and UPPERCASE.

It'd be so useful to be able to select text you've already typed and change the format. Phones have done it for years, why not computers? Could be a much better use for the Caps Lock key.

I imagine you remove the bucket part from under the seat and empty the contents into a standard toilet, then flush that.

Likewise. I use Total, and I have 12 folders on my homescreen, each of which can be swiped up, down, left or right to open specific apps or run specific actions. So, 48 options without ever leaving the home screen :-)

I very rarely have to even open a folder, let alone the app drawer (in fact Total doesn't really even seem to have a built in app drawer, although it exists somewhere in the background)

And yet even Spotify has started having exclusive content in the form of certain podcasts. Only a matter of time before they do it with music too.

Yeah, that's something I've long been worried about - Warner Music, and Sony Music, and so on. I'm really glad I kept all my old CDs!

Must have missed Portugal winning the World Cup.

Nova in its heyday was just exceptional. It's so sad to see it brought almost to its knees.

But, but, they assured us that that wasn't going to happen? You mean they lied??

JFC, what a fall from grace for Nova. Sad to see.

Total Launcher does both of those. It's massively customisable, although a bit daunting-looking in places. I love it though.

Really enjoying Radio Lemmy, have had it on almost constantly :-)

After using the site a few times, I noted a few things that might be worth looking at - not meant as criticism, just some ideas.

Suggestions:

  • Freeze pagination tools of auto DJ library - would make it easier to navigate on mobile when scrolling down the song list. At the moment, when you scroll, you can't see the controls

  • Make the song request message popups (green for accept/red for reject) always appear onscreen as overlays instead of at a fixed point on the page - at present they're not visible when user is scrolled down, especially on mobile

  • Is there a way to filter the library by genre/artist? I can't seem to find it, apologies if I'm being dense.

  • It would be cool to be able to sort the library by date added - so we could see what new songs have been uploaded

Bugs:

  • When sending a song suggestion it refreshes the page, stopping the music stream. Any way to prevent that?
  • I noticed that some songs have duplicate info - eg Pulp - Disco 2000, Stromae - Alors On Danse, and possibly more

I love football sometimes. Get it up you Bayern :-)

No match thread, so made this for discussion

I really don't like the file picker now - when sharing images or anything else, it shows inconsistent and incomplete lists of folders, and although I can then choose to go to Browse and pick that way, I'd rather just have that by default. Anyone know if it's possible?

Extremely tenuous AD link here, I know, but this is just so ridiculous, that it could have been part of the show.

I hope he has a good maritime lawyer.

That's all.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

Mike Dean has admitted he failed to correct a mistake in a Chelsea v Tottenham match last season to prevent his friend Anthony Taylor receiving extra “grief”.

The former Premier League referee Dean was on VAR duty at Stamford Bridge in August 2022 when Chelsea wanted the Spurs defender Cristian Romero sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella to the floor by his hair. Dean says he made a “really bad call” in not sending Taylor to review his decision.

Why would he do that? And why on earth would he admit it later??

Others may disagree, but every time I find myself wanting to change the sort type, I tap the area circled on the left. But this opens the menu to switch between Subscribed/Local/All - instead I should be tapping the three lines on the right.

Would it maybe make sense to have "Hot", "New", etc appear with those lines instead?

No biggie, just an idea.

Not sure if we're still applying the low quality image rule as on the R place? If so, this may fall foul. Hopefully not.
