I’ve been using Campaign Cartographer 3+ for a few years now. It does support image backgrounds (and depending on your image it might even trace it for you)… … but I should say that it does have a somewhat steep learning curve. It’s more a CAD tool than a drawing tool.

You will most likely need to read the tutorials and maybe watch a few videos to be comfortable with it. Luckily, there’s lots of videos and a forum with tons of friendly people.

It’s not cheap but it just so happens that there’s a Humble Bundle ongoing for the next 5 days:

You’d have to go for the highest tier to get the base program.

I don’t know if calls work, but all the other stuff you mention does work.

Ah. Good point. I don’t think I’ve received calls. I don’t know if they would work

I have an old device in the closet and use the matrix bridge. The bridge bot kindly reminds me to turn on the phone every 12 days, but I think WA’s requirement is 15 days.

I do have to ask though: other than basic text chat, what else does WA offer these days?

For the record, I’m able to see videos, images and listen to audio. Haven’t received a poll yet. Is there anything more to it?

Glad I could help. Let us know how it goes. :)

If you don’t mind the learning curve, Scribus does a good job.

I never stopped to think that they have a different feel. Worth pondering. Thanks for the insight.

I’m curious… what is it about CofD that you feel is missing from WoD? I’m actually on the other boat but since I’m often the storyteller, I get to decide. And my choice is mostly because I like WoD’s lore more and because I don’t own CofD books.

Regarding PbtA, I thought I’d recommend the Dungeon World Guide. The early sections apply for any PbtA:

Maybe FreefileSync is what you need?

No at my box atm, but I think you'd have to get the flatpak: https://flathub.org/apps/org.freefilesync.FreeFileSync

Yes.

Rocks and Diamonds is being actively developed for modern computers.

I haven’t tried installing level packs though.

Great memories.

Apparently Rocks & Diamonds has a Supaplex level collection: https://www.artsoft.org/rocksndiamonds/levels/

Might give it a try...
