We should to define "thinking" before we discuss any further. Thinking is the self-directed process of reasoning, problem-solving, and generating ideas, involving awareness, evaluation, and adaptation beyond reactive pattern recognition.

That said, LLMs predict responses based on context and learned information.

People need to understand it's a really well-trained parrot that has no idea what is saying. That's why it can give you chicken recipes and software code; it's seen it before. Then it uses statistics to put words together that usually appear together. It's not thinking at all despite LLMs using words like "reasoning" or "thinking"

This is leopards ate my face material, right? "Oh no, it could be my job on the line..."

There have been some absolute bangers lately, so I gotta ask—what matchups are you loving right now, and which ones are you hyped for in the playoffs?

Here’s what I’m into:

• Bucks vs. Pacers – This lowkey feels like a real rivalry now. They’ve played each other so much, and that last game? Hali just casually throwing up a prayer to ice it was insane.

• Thunder vs. Nuggets – MVP battle every time. Watching Jokic and SGA go at it is a vibe, and I need this series in the playoffs.

• Nuggets vs. Lakers – The Lakers finally had a game plan for Jokic and didn’t look lost out there. After two sweeps and now Luka in the mix, this could be spicy.

• Celtics vs. Cavs – Celts were on track to blow out the Cavs, and JT told them to go home! Boston still lost in a tight one. If they meet in the playoffs, it’s gonna be a war.

What about y’all? Which matchups are giving you life?

Let's not forget the Republican years where they all voted against anything that Obama or Biden tried to pass.

It's possible that people don't realize what is AI and what is an AI marketing speak out there nowadays.

For a fully automated Her-like experience, or Ironman style Jarvis? That would be rad. But we have not really close to that at all. It sort of exists with LLM chat, but the implementation on phones is not even close to being there.

I listened to his podcast, and he’s clearly trying to appeal across the aisle. Since anti-trans rhetoric has been heavily weaponized, the topic inevitably came up. My takeaway was that trans rights feel distant from most people’s daily lives, or they’re something parents don’t want their young kids exposed to, which can end up pushing some people away.

Overall, I didn’t think it was terrible. The first episode was rough—Gavin seemed unprepared and on the defensive with his guest. The second episode was better since he had a longer history with that guest, making for a smoother conversation. I’m not a fan of him openly seeking advice from Conservatives on running a campaign, but it does offer some insight.

I don't see any info on this from the sign up page on what it is and product differentiation. So.... I'm signing up because I like Kevin Rose...?

That's 2 triple doubles in there. Amazing

Wow, the Warriors motion offense is back! I didn't expect Butler to help on that front.

I think this headline is slightly misleading. Here are some better ones:

  • When Convenient Tech Becomes a Burden: A Call for Human-Centric Design
  • How Modern Tech Erodes Human Interaction

I'm not a huge fan myself, but he's getting better every year, similar to Jokic. If the season ended today, he'd probably be front runner because of the team's record and his individual stats.

Dropping four 50 burgers in a such a short time span is no joke!

Fifty was the magic number Monday. Gilgeous-Alexander has made three All-Star appearances, two All-NBA teams and finished second in MVP voting a season ago, but he had never dropped 50 in a game until that 54-point outburst Jan. 22 against the Utah Jazz. He’s now done it four times.

The mid range game is alive and well.

So I asked ChatGPT for a list of the best players. I ran it 3 times so see if its opinion would change. For the most part, the list remained the same, with KG and Dr. J making an appearance on the 3rd list. The order seemed really locked in, only a couple of players moved around. Hakeem moved into the top 10 kicking Kobe down on one list. The top 7 never moved.

The only one that I would move up would be Bill Russell, seeing as how he 11-peat’d with the Celtics.

  1. Michael Jordan
  2. LeBron James
  3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
  4. Magic Johnson
  5. Larry Bird
  6. Shaquille O'Neal
  7. Tim Duncan
  8. Kobe Bryant
  9. Wilt Chamberlain
  10. Bill Russell
  11. Hakeem Olajuwon
  12. Oscar Robertson
  13. Karl Malone
  14. Jerry West
  15. Moses Malone
  16. Dirk Nowitzki
  17. Charles Barkley
  18. Kevin Durant
  19. Stephen Curry
  20. Dwyane Wade
  21. John Stockton
  22. David Robinson
  23. Elgin Baylor
  24. Isiah Thomas
  25. Scottie Pippen
