THE black kid brought a gun to school to shoot his girlfriend for breaking up with him. That really helped to reduce racial stereotypes.

I rather like what the Japanese do, which is to mask up if you are sick, thereby preventing the spread to others. I would like to see statistics to know if it is effective. This could have the same net effect, but impact a smaller population.

Slightly tsngental, as a severe allergy sufferer, I appreciate how the pandemic somewhat normalized masking in public so I can just wear one without people asking me prying questions, assuming I'm a freak (I am, but don't assume it until you get to know me), or moving to a different seat on the bus when I sit down.

I think this is an old myth that keeps circulating. According to the Mayo Clinic, "In type 2 diabetes, there are primarily two problems. The pancreas does not produce enough insulin — a hormone that regulates the movement of sugar into the cells. And cells respond poorly to insulin and take in less sugar."

A link for the uninitiated.

Isn't this like leaving your team playbook on the hood of your car before the big game? Why can't or don't the parties opposing this use it to construct their game plan to systematically remove all the loopholes and methods that this "project" is using to promote their agenda? I'm the furthest thing from a politician, so ELI5.

You have a very interesting point about the muted mics actually being in Trump's favor while simultaneously allowing Biden to ramble like Grandpa Simpson.

Agreed. How about the other guy? Was anybody inspired by him?

I'm really sad that it's come to this. It's how I feel when my coworkers vote to go out to a sushi restaurant. I don't like fish and I'm allergic to shellfish, so I eat my pile of steamed rice and bite my tongue when they want to split the bill equally.

What was I talking about again?

I was behind two cars on the freeway, one in lane 1 and one in lane 3. They both decided to merge into the center lane at the same time. I remember the sound distinctly because it was so different than I expected. It sounded like two large, empty cardboard boxes hitting each other. No screeching tires or glass breaking sound (both windshields and side windows broke, but remained intact). It was very unexciting.

Isn't this simply the natural progression of capitalism in action? Everything's for sale, everything has a price.

I was wondering this same thing. Who would take on a loan that a bank deems unprofitable? Is this like turning the loan over to a loan shark and the shark has means to ensure payment that banks don't due to regulations? Are they selling to the govn't? Either option is not good.

I'm using tailscale (which I hear is just a wrapper for wireguard) and love it.
