Yup…that sucks. But the military taught me “no excuses.” We need to outlast, out organize, and out fight them. Volunteer to help - Teri Kanefield (she’s on mastodon) has some incredible tips - Obama calls it Citizenship.

This breakdown of voters should be included in every disclaimer on ever poll that’s comes out online, in the news, or on the radio. That’s not a small number of people, but it is a SIGNIFICANT minority and the country needs to not be held hostage by 15% of the population.

This should be the top comment. Totally love your perspective and ability to write these thoughts down.

I’m proud to upvote this.

Good luck dude. I’ll add one more thought…I just switched instructors and it is like a breath of fresh air and I am so excited to get after it. Not that my first instructor was bad, they were just not for me at this point in my journey.

If you’re going self taught, you can’t go wrong with JustinGuitar.com. He has some great lessons and it’s all free. You can upgrade and he has paid stuff, but I’ve never done them. If you are in the right place and can swing it, take some classes. If you find the right instructor it’ll be awesome. I didn’t take lessons for years but finally sprung for them. I don’t think it’s made a difference that I can tell but my wife says I’m paying much better.

JustinGuitar is the shit for free Find a School of Rock or an instructor to on-ramp faster.

Pick up guitar lessons.

I’m late to the party, and there’s only one season, but we just finished Silo on Apple. That show was badass. There’s a second season already filming.

I know you asked for shows, but the Expanse books (especially the first 2) and beyond awesome. The science and the approach to uneven technology distribution and advancement is so cool. I haven’t seen the show yet though so can’t speak to that. I can read after a sesh, but not everyone can.

Ok - so I am all in as a non profit ED and grant writer and only used the iPad Pro. But it’s like 89% awesome for work. I went all in and learned the OS but I really feel like I’m fighting against it 11% of the time and it’s getting really old. I had to build a logic model so I used Omnigraffle on the Mac and it was like suddenly my workflow/process got lubed up and I was speed racing through all sorts of tasks.

For example, today I was writing a letter in the office 365 app. I needed to cut and paste from another document. Nope. Couldn’t open both at the same time/side by side. So then I thought I’d try it using Google docs because I found recently that Google docs is an awesome WYSIWYG writing app. Nope. Don’t support two windows.

I got it done, but it’s little stuff like that that creates friction in my productivity. And that sucks. Also - I understand that my examples above are app specific, but I could just as easily write about how the Files app is a pain in the ass when I need to drag a column to be a bit wider to see info without opening the preview up…or about how highlighting words when using an external mouse is stupid and requires dragging the dots like using a finger.

Rant over.

I guess my question for any Lemmings out there is this: what small things can #apple do to make the OS super awesome for office work?
