Seems like a cool scheme. I get their concerns about drug tourism - hope the dust settles soon as we can see some data on the impact of the club system getting up and running.

I... Don't? But I've used it since 3.11. It's incredibly usable software, when it works. Switched recently because even I have my limits - that win11 recall even made it as an idea at the table is enough to make me jump ship. The ads in win10 pushed me to the limit, but recall is insane unless they're literally gonna give away free hardware and software. I paid for that damn computer and bought a license - wtf. It's not Microsofts hardware to datamine or put ads on. Paid for things with ads in them that also keylog and screen scrape and datamine can fuck all the way off.

Saw the netbsd video posted on lemmy recently and dude said he was offended at the lack autonomy he had over his own hardware in ms and I kind of get it now.

You also don’t get to enjoy many of the PSVR 2’s vaunted box features — HDR, headset feedback, and eye tracking are all disabled. So are the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback (not including rumble) on the controllers.

Wtf sony

We're going through this show again, for the first time for us since it was aired. And this episode (Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space') was a real stand out. Haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

I dunno about winning. Lemmy user count is through the roof. And Im one of the people who left when they pulled the API nonsense. The way they gaslit and lied to the Apollo dev was just unacceptable. Couldn't participate there after that.

I had this argument with a boomer HR consultant and she just doubled down, even though I explained that neither I nor my colleagues, give two hoots about fussball or team building. Our position is a resounding "fuck you pay me" but oh no - boomer knows best.

Lol. I uh. Guess I didn't want a one time payment option after all.

Me neither but I'll do an ignorant take and invite someone more knowledgeable to correct me: The tech to make films without human actors is available, and Hollywood studios think that they have unlimited rights forever to the digital likenesses of the actors they have contracts with. Which is pretty fucking rich from the same corporations that think we should pay for the same film on dvd, on blu ray, on blu ray in a different region, on the apple store, on the play store, and reserve the right to revoke our access to any of these where possible.

And the ad was one of their anti piracy ads ("you wouldn't download a car"), from the time where they made the nonsense claim that every pirate download was equal to lost revenue, as they tried to erode Internet privacy and bankrupt people who didn't have enough money to defend themselves in court.

Under current Italian law, the member of a same-sex couple who is not legally recognized as a child’s parent could lose custody if the legally recognized parent dies or the relationship ends.

Shameful, hateful shit. What the hell Italy.
