I live somewhere where they're common, lived here my whole life, but I still love to watch prairie dogs. They're cute and cool and interesting

I like Farmer Giles of Ham, but my fave Tolkien story (non-Arda at least) is Smith of Wootton Major. Coincidentally, my favorite Neil Gaiman book is Stardust, which is a similar story of a boy exploring a fae realm. If you like Tolkien, or folk fantasy, read Tolkien's short stories

IIRC the thing that causes long term damage is staying in the same position for long periods of time. Without a back rest, there isn't much movement you can do to change position. I could be misremembering though

Edit: of course you could just stand up every once in a while and that'd probably take care of it I guess, I'm not an Orthopedist

Wrists is what immediately jumped out at me, but a chair with no back support = no good long term

We've realized it's not going to be a sudden apocalypse, but a slow one

Intellectually I know it's fine. I know there's plenty of time to complete the game. I just can't stand a ticking clock counting down, constantly. It makes me anxious and completely ruins my enjoyment of the game. I also have this problem with Stardew Valley where I constantly feel like there's not enough time and I'm being pulled in several directions at once and I can't focus on anything. It's a nightmare.
