So what? Every generation has their form of entertainment. How is this worse than reading a book or watching TV or playing a video game for fun? Or spending your time on Lemmy? Or really just doing anything for fun where you don't expect an outcome. I don't want to work every living minute.

Also yeah, you could learn a language a year if you do it every day but

  1. It needs time to get into it
  2. It's exhausting
  3. It's repetitive and gets boring fast.

Social media is mostly used if you don't have anything else to do and can't just leave. So like on the toilet or in school. Also who says they aren't doing something productive while watching? It makes repetitive tasks less boring. So you can totally still learn carpentry while watching TikTok or anything really.

Time you enjoy isn't time bad spend. Why do anything you hate doing? How does sailing around the world or learning a new language makes you enjoy your life more? Also: how is sailing the sea more productive than watching TikTok when most of the time, you do nothing on the ship.

And for Germans there clearly is not enough alcohol in the glass.

Also it's pretty useful as a bottle opener if there isn't a corner or another bottle around.

Ehh, not for me.

Like I said before it's an Manga app that added Anime streaming functionality. I still use Tachiyomi for Manga though.

With Aniyomi I can't easily discover new anime, continue watching ones I added on Anilist on my PC and have this beautiful UI with really good, switch sources with a press of a button and have these fluid animations.

Just look at this: Screenshot_20230929-184148

Nobody would use the app then because nobody know of it and people would download viruses.

No. That's literally the point of it.

Maybe they changed something since I used it the last time when it came out but I find the UI to be horrible.

It's a Manga UI used for watching anime. I rather have a UI with beautiful animations. Saikou has one of the most beautiful UI I've ever seen in an app.

While I love Tachiyomi (J2K) as a Manga reader and I think it's the best one on any platform, it's not great as a Streaming app designed as a streaming app (I know Saikou isn't just a streaming app and you can also read Mangas in it, but I rather use Tachiyomi for that)

Edit: just checked it out. Nope still a Manga app UI for an anime streaming app with horrible discoverability and you can't switch between different sources easily. The sources are cool I guess, but I don't need those. You also can't add something on Anilist and automatically have it added to your "continue watching" list.

And the growing success of short form content on Tiktok, Youtube and Twitter for example seems to support this claim.

You can't really make a conclusion from this. Maybe our short attention span is the reason short form content is so popular.

I guess it's not our attention span declining, but just that we are not used to waiting or getting bored.

Gender identity is wayy to complex for a simple example and it's at least partially something natural.

Also I didn't say that something invented has to be real.

Even Dragons and Witches are real in their own context. They don't exist in this world but they exist in the world of the stories being told about them.

Man made is a common phrase and people made sounds bad

Nee. Die meisten Modelle sind nur auf Anime Bilder trainiert und getuned
