They would have uploaded his brain into a supercomputer and then forced him to experience death six million times over.

Just kidding, he would have been executed like many many other war criminals throughout history.

I'm curious if they look alike

I hate this in Northern Virginia too. If you plan to take 66 with dynamic tolling, you head out of the toll free path, and finally get to the sign with the toll price. If the price is unacceptable, what do you do? Drive 7 minutes back to the toll free route?

A home econ class or hell even a math class could assign everyone some facts about their fictional situation (like a w2, number of kids, house payments, donations, etc) and then have everyone do their taxes for the year.

You'd teach the process. And spend some time looking at the tax table. Learning about standard deduction, learn about turning your taxes in on time.....

I tried a Vieux Carre with cynar swapped for the sweet vermouth. It was very vegetal and bitter. So I tried again.

Stirred on ice:

1oz cognac, 1oz rye, 1/2oz cynar, 1/2 oz sweet vermouth, 1/4 oz cointreau

Poured on a cube with an express orange peel.

Its pretty good. I'm a fan of cutting rye back 50% with cognac, in a lot of cocktails. I'd run out of orange bitter but 1/4oz cointreau is a decent replacement in this context. A little spicy. Very herbal and bitter. And orange to round it out.

OK so normally when you are accused of a crime, you hire a lawyer who advises you not to talk about the charges. Why? Because then you say dumb shit like "well it was manslaughter because he robbed me" when your defense was focused on casting doubt it was you who pulled the trigger.

In this case, Trump may not be an authority, and that's the point, it speaks to his INTENT. His intent was clearly to circumvent rules. Why is this even a discussion? This has all been thoroughly parsed.

Uh yeah, even the stuff the president has authority for, he'd need an executive authority, which is more than just shouting I DECLARE IT'S DECLASSIFIED in a hallway of the Pentagon.

A) he said he doesn't

B) he's not the declassification authority on all classified information

You are talking Celsius while the meme is likely referring to F (you can tell because Obama)

Was further from NoVA than I thought 😂

A good time. Unlimited draft beer during the hour spa time. Decent options, and even some good cans of n/a for extra.

My wife was trepidatious about the endeavor but really enjoyed it to. AMA

I'll never forget that Facebook conversation where people confused you with Kony 😭

The Spaghett. What a weird drink, but it works. If you like bitter and it's hot, campari and pilsner somehow works. But it's January so let's try again.

1.5oz ghia n/a herbal

12oz n/a pale beer

1 dash orange bitters

2 dash angostura bitters

Express an orange peel

Maybe add a dash of campari if you just want to bump the flavor up a notch with almost no alcohol in the final drink.

Definitely very citrusy and herbal. Way less bitter than the original, I mean campari is very bitter, so. Tasty and refreshing.

Had a carajillo at a fancy brunch spot and it was the best thing I'd ever had. The menu said it was espresso, licor 43, averna amaro, and orange blossom water. Well I don't have an espresso maker nor orange blossom water. So here's what I did.

1oz averna

1/4oz licor 43

1/4oz frangelico (why not?)

Liberal amounts of orange bitters.

Stirred to mix and then topped off with 3-6oz of hot coffee.

Definitely close enough to what I had with actual espresso.

The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a request by special counsel Jack Smith to fast-track arguments on whether Donald Trump has any immunity from federal prosecution for alleged crimes he committed while in office – a move that will likely delay his trial.

The court did not explain its reasoning and there were no noted dissents.

Both sides will still have the option of appealing an eventual ruling by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals up to the high court, but the court’s move is a major victory for Trump, whose strategy of delay in the criminal case included mounting a protracted fight over the immunity question, which must be settled before his case goes to trial.

An expedited review of the issue is already underway at the DC Circuit, which has scheduled oral arguments for January 9. The election subversion trial is currently set to begin in March.

If the lemonade doesn't kill you, the Malort will make you wish you had been predisposed to heart failure.

I'm not sure I have ever had a proper white Russian, but I saw someone making them with egg nog so I thought why not? Half coffee rum/cognac instead of vodka, and half kahlua/frangelico instead of coffee liqueur.

1/2oz coffee rum

1/2oz cognac

1/4oz kahlua

1/4oz frangelico

Dash of chocolate and walnut bitters.

Top with an ounce or two of egg nog, then gently stir.
