The Rat King (dmv.social)
submitted 3 months ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

The perfect sipping drink on a spring day, this variation on the Rat King shot will impress your friends.

3/4oz of each campari, cynar, Jaegermeister, malort, Fernet branca is stirred over ice. A bar spoon of Benedictine as a topper, plus an expressed orange peel as Garnish.

Wonderful notes of bitterness, vegetal, mint, cigarette smoke, and licorice compete for your attention. The orange oils meld with the mild spice of Benedictine to mellow it all out. The perfectly balanced drink. I'll be making it as a freezer door cocktail ahead of my next party.

Even Jefferson surmised it should be radically updated every few decades. I think he'd and many others would be pissed to realized we're all held hostage by compromises that barely made sense at the time.

Just curious if anyone of you own any Nezumi watches. How are they? Worth the money? Etc

Was eyeing their GMT as I want a GMT and it fits my style and price range.

Mezcal Manhattan (dmv.social)
submitted 3 months ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Grilling shrimp for tacos so I wanted something with mezcal.

Riffing on the Manhattan recipe I did the following:

1.5oz mezcal

. 75oz sweet vermouth

. 5oz pasubio amaro

Stirred over ice, served with lime garnish.

Very good. I feared it'd be too smoky and pulled the mezcal back to one and a half ounces but I think next time I'll stick closer to the 2:1 ratio of liquor to vermouth. A little smokey but also sweet and the agave shines through. Would make again.

You should talk to a therapist.

Asking this question and being self critical is a good sign.

Being told you are gaslighting is NOT necessarily a sign you are a psychopath. They could be gas lighting you. Or you could just have some other blind spots about your own behavior.

If Congress must act to re instate a candidate but almost must act to bar a candidate, why was the amendment written the way it was? Pretty stupid they want Congress to make the determination.

Isn't it illegal to transport a child to commit a crime? Human trafficking? Kidnapping? What a can of worms. I feel like there's too much money in fertility treatments for SCOTUS to let this stand.

It's 100% juice but not 100% of the juice.

Imagine, entering the factory is only juice. Let's say maybe the filter or centrifuge the juice to remove anything that's not totally soluble. Then exiting the factory is pure juice, as well as the sediment that you were expecting, but it's separated as waste.

A sandwich you remove the crust from is 100% sandwich, but it's not 100% of the original sandwich....

Uber eats etc pulled all the money out of the community. No longer does the restaurant make money and pay a little bit to the driver, who back in the day might have been the owner or the owners kids. No, now the restaurant margins are impossibly thin and so the food is shit, and the driver isn't an employee and spends it all on gas and oil changes.

Uber eats takes all the money and sends it to investors.

Uber and all the other Ubers for X no longer provide a service. They made an app that helps deliver goods and services, but now what? If we nationalized these companies and made them owned by the people, or the people in that industry, we could actually keep the money in your own city.

Instead we have $80 pizzas and poor, disaffected workers.

If only conservatives listened to scholars. Then they might consider a) the intent of the constitution and b) the practical implications of nominating someone so unfit. Alas.

I mean there's no harm in using a cultural moment as a starting point to see if two people are compatible?

I think the language in the article and perhaps from the influencers is a bit rigid.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that if a man has valid reasons for disliking the movie they are automatically exist. The idea is that the film is causing a knee jerk reaction in men who are otherwise prone to hiding their misogyny.

I didn't get a lot of the inside jokes about the product. And the barbies and Ken's did not unite to kill Will Ferrell.
