Rather short notice. I received this at 3:36pm today.

** I found this on reddit and wanted to share here.
** Be aware that all classes are not available at all Peralta campuses. For example, I am interested in welding and that is only available at Laney. I saw no easy way to look at all fields courses across all campuses.
** It may be too late to register for fall classes but this has been an ongoing program so will likely be available for winter and spring.

-reddit post below-

Just as a reminder - Fall Registration for Laney and the Other Peralta Community Colleges is coming up. And Fall is completely free, everything - registration, tuition, parking, all fees, even books. You just have to fill out a FAFSA. You do NOT have to qualify for financial aid, you just have to fill out the FAFSA.

In addition to being able to take classes for free, you can use the gym, there is free lunch (Mon-Thur), free produce/pantry every week, and a free AC transit pass. Link to the FAQ:

https://laney.edu/fall-is-free/

Take advantage of this opportunity, the education is great, and making use of the campus helps the community!

With the wildfires in Maui all over the news here is a free local resource to assist with emergency preparedness.

"Communities of Oakland Respond to Emergencies (CORE) is a free emergency preparedness and response training program of the Oakland Fire Department. CORE provides free emergency preparedness training for individuals, neighborhood groups and community‐based organizations in Oakland."

I've got three dogs and get it. One dog is very old and needs special attention. Another is very young needing different attention.

When there is something wrong in my head their normal stuff annoys me. I try to remember they are being normal and it is I that is different.

This has been an ongoing issue for her but it usually gets hushed up.

I've checked a few times since using them and they are always out. They used to have a listing for Pro as well but that is gone.

I used The Swap Club to replace my wife's AirPods about six months ago but since then they always seem sold out.

Clean paper and cardboard are easily recyclable and worth money. I first figured this out over 30 years ago while taking commuter trains into NYC.

There were approximately one yard cubed wagons left on the platform to discard your already read newspapers for recycling. Local hustlers would often reassemble the papers and sell for half.

At some point locking tops eere put on so it was difficult to remove the papers. This was because the agency collecting the old newspaper was making money from it.

Fast forward. Some cities make it a crime to rummage through the recycling bins.

There is money there.

Need your location to figure out inspection.

They don't check lights in California so you would be fine.
