In any European country, afaik, Bernie and AOC would match a left-center, moderate progressive party. It's funny that some of those countries actual left or far-left parties are kind of "let's burn the capital and go back to them fields attitude".

Their kid was ill, their partner had a thing, they didn't remember another event that they had previously agreed on, they said yes but they were thinking of another date, "is it for that game? I thought we were gonna play something else.", that's a long weekend week so they had out-of-state plans, etc.. etc..

I sometimes feel bad for DMs.

He early joined Microsoft and probably had some stock but he left by 1996 so I hardly doubt that made him a real billionaire, (especially given the time).

That act weakened the Japanese Socialist party (center-left), emboldened the far-right, caused copycats and ensured the current party stayed in power for most of the twentieth century.

That's not to say that Asanuma was a scummy maoist and had forced his party to support the terrible war in Asia.

When 9 11 happened, people had different reactions: sadness, fear, shock... people like Dick Cheney immediate reaction was: what can I gain from this.

I'm pretty sure Trump runs on that exact mentality.
