Do you have favorite books you like to read when the weather is cold?

[-] [email protected] 7 points 10 months ago

Thank you so much for doing what it takes to control bots. Much appreciated!

[-] [email protected] 10 points 11 months ago

Stop eating anything with high fructose corn syrup. I promise it works.

[-] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

omg yes. When I'm making something and I suddenly have to pee the fear sets in that if I go pee I'll wander off and forget I was ever making something. I swear I'll start cooking, get distracted by needing to pee, while peeing remember something I need to do on my computer, while on my computer get distracted by my cat wanting food and end up back in the kitchen because I went to go grab my cat a snack and I'm like OH RIGHT.

I don't know how I ever get anything done.

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

Wait, what. You are blowing my mind right now.

[-] [email protected] 40 points 1 year ago

Joke's on them. I set one of my communities to NSFW and then unmodded myself.

Yes! That's awesome. Come join us in [email protected] to discuss books!

My number one tip is don't be afraid to DNF. (DNF stands for Did Not Finish.) I used to be someone who wanted to finish every book I started and I always held out hope a book would get better, but I read so much more if I just give up on books I'm not enjoying. Now that I DNF things more quickly it keeps me from getting into reading slumps.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

So glad to have you here!

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I'm so sorry about the weird hostility. That's a great sign off message.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

One of the other mods deleted the post. Womp-womp. Do you remember what it said?

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

100% agree. There's nothing they could do at this point. I'm done.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I am so delighted right now.
