Thing is that most news editors still have to eat and pay rent. They do not run on subsidy and basic income so that they can just do fuck all. Unless this changes, mainstream news will continue to carry content that drives clicks and engagements.

I would have to disagree about No Mans Sky. If you're playing missions with randos on the anomaly, then sure, it works somehow..

But try doing a proper co-op by bringing a new player friend and its awful. You have to go to settings to enable multiplayer, go back to main menu to find your new friend's instance, and then it will load you in the middle of space where you have to still find your friend who's definitely panicking in the middle of a toxic rainstorm trying to find his broken ass ship that they need to repair.

And then say you both succeed surviving and finding each other, now you just want to fly together and explore? Well, theres no fleet commands or any way to coordinate your flight. Have fun guessing where to find both of your ships in light speed. And you cant warp to the next system yet bec your friends' hyperdrive and warp cell is still not acquired.

And lets say you both succeeded to warp to the next system, suddenly you enter the scripted event where you have to save a freighter. Now you should be having a fun time shooting rogue ships together, except you arent seeing the same set of ships and freighters because they are locally generated on your computer. The fun you'll be having is figuring out that its virtually not the same instance at all, they just look the same.

I love their game, but really they need to fix party play or just get rid of it.
