Ah old days... I used to boot into Windows 10 just for gaming but when Valve's Proton matured to the point that all my games could work on Linux I very happily nuked it out of existence. But yeah if someone plays Fortnite or needs Adobe products then you still can't do much unfortunately.
If you have ever searched for open source keyboards, you might have come across OpenBoard. But that project hasn't seen development in more than an year. Thankfully, there is a fork of it that is being worked upon quite actively. It already supports autocorrect, glide typing, user-defined dictionaries, multilingual typing and now material you themeing as well.

Hardware companies trying to copy the software companies with a subscription model really sucks. What's next? Intel charging a monthly fee to unlock 5 GHz boost? Nvidia charging a monthly fee if you want to do anything AI-related with their GPUs? Samsung and LG charging a monthly fee if you want to use a TV or a monitor for more than 2 hours a day? Greed knows no bounds.

We do have a functioning govt. It functions to make the rich richer and give them all the freedom in the world, including exploiting the workforce in all ways possible. But hey, at least our economy is #1! Rejoice!
It's surprisingly good, for a project that started just 20 days ago. And I don't want to jinx it but the pace of development is quite good as well, they keep releasing updates every few hours or so.
What was stopping them from bringing the tools first, let mods migrate and be comfortable with them and then apply the new pricing on the API? Greed and ego are having a field day it seems.
Have you tried this active fork of OpenBoard? The dev added support for multilingual typing months ago. This has Material You theme as well as glide typing (needs to be turned on manually).
