I recently made www.timedial.org, using mainly HTML 3.2. I tried HTML 2.0, but the lack of tables, fonts and even text alignment was a bit too much.

I had a few bitcoins back in the day, I remember trying to mine some, but I think someone just gave a bunch.

Either way, I long ago wiped the disks that they were on and I know for sure I would have sold them as soon as they would have been worth a nice pizza or similar anyway.

There is no way I would have believed it would ever become valuable, let alone this insane.

It's not great with a family, each with multiple devices. Years ago I used it with a central MySQL db, but it was a huge pain and frequently broke with updates.

As mentioned by others, Jellyfin is an amazing alternative and I've been using it for a few years already.

It was great to see that after all these years, and countless hours playing it, I still absolutely suck at it.

This is so relatable

The opposite also happens to me frequently, I distinctly remember storing it somewhere really smart, so I wouldn't lose it. If only I could remember where...

Worst case of this was traveling solo and finding this really cool hidden pocket in my backpack that fit my passport exactly.

Two weeks later, I was certain I found a great place for it and nearly missed my plane looking for it.

Which country doesn't charge VAT on services?

6ft8 here, with most of my height in my legs. I feel you, even large cars often have absurdly large dashboards and I still won't fit in them.

I've had to ask to swap my rental car several times already.

Could you explain why so many people hate stand-ups? In my current and previous jobs we spend around 1 hour once a week discussing what each person is working on, usually with some quick side chats about small issues we run into.

I've always experienced these as quite useful and never hear too much complaining about it.

The subreddit this is posted in was "sinkpissers"

Wow, just looked it up, but it didn't quite hit me until I saw one of those things work.
