Thanks! Yea when you think about it I can get a full month of use out of a blade and buy 100 blade packs. I guess that’s like 8 years of blades right there.

I don’t know that you could ever remove posts or comments from Reddit either. I think it’s safer to describe it as making a comment public or not. I’m assuming that Reddit itself keeps records of all deleted posts. It’s best to treat everything you post online as public and permanent. I honestly think reddits ability to edit comments was a problem. I’ve seen so many arguments where people go back and change previous posts so now the arguments don’t make sense or to make the person responding to them look like an asshole.
Saw a YouTube video by Mister Patina we’re he restored a 1940’s razor blade sharpener. It was fascinating and I wondered if anyone had ever seen or used a device like it or any device for sharpening double edge razors.

Matrix is a protocol that if used slows any messenger to communicate with each other kinda like lemmy federation. There are many messengers that use it and if you establish a bridge you can use your matrix client to message people on signal or what’s app

Honestly it’s easy to turn good privacy hygiene into an unhealthy obsession and it can strain your relationships with friends and family. You have to be aware that things are going to change constantly and that’s ok. Your probably not using internet explorer anymore and you’re happier without it so switching to the new mullvad browser is no big deal. Your friends probably use Snapchat and WhatsApp but i bet a more of them are on signal than you think. It used to be enough to not give your phone number to websites and not have your name in your email address but threats have evolved and so have our protection tools. You are probably not on the run or in witness protection so a small leak with your info isn’t life threatening just take a deep breath and keep trying to make good choices.
If you want to fly across the country you will pay about the same price as it is to drive for one person but arrive days earlier. If you take your spouse the flight just doubled in price but the car ride has stayed the same price. Take two kids or any friends and the flight price has quadrupled but the car ride is still the same price. Once you’re at your location if you flew you are now in a new city with all your luggage but no transportation. If you drove you are in charge door to door. Trying to get groceries for a family in any city in the U.S. and it’s way to long of a trip to do it daily and impractical to take a weeks worth of groceries on the bus. Outside of maybe New York City public transportation is a single man’s game.
