has it always been "name of president administration" in headlines rather than US government? or is this just a recent trend? or is there a difference between the two?

I like the bring everything with you and leave nothing behind sentiment.

I've heard the recent ones leave a lot of trash.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

yeah, but don't I get a penalty if I invite someone that would have a bad ratio?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I have some free invites to some private servers as well (mainly BakaBT for anime/manga stuff and MyAnonamouse for anything books)

But inviting someone that wouldn't have a good ratio is bad, right?

Is There a Website Where I Can Roughly Check Prices of Used Tech Available Locally? (Particularly E-Readers)

To be clear, I would not be buying them online. I would only be looking at the prices and probably look around in Akihabara or the appropriate place on where to buy stuff like these.

Just Finished Vita Nostra

It was weird.

It wasn't what I expected when I was looking for a story about "Magic Schools".

I can't say I fully understand what was happening as I've read it, or the message it was trying to convey. Sometimes I had to double back a paragraph or two just to better my vague understanding of the story.

Nevertheless, I devoured this book in one day; words just kept pouring as I read, giving glimpses of a fleeting story. That is to say, I enjoyed my experience in reading it. I don't know if it's something I'd read again in the future, but at least I know it was a good adventure.

What are your thoughts to this book?

How do you interpret its ending?

Why is Sasha short for Alexandra?

How Does a Country's Debt Affect its Citizens?

Currently my country, Philippines, has tons of debt and it keeps increasing every year.

There'd be stats like, each Filipino has 120k php (around 2.3k usd) of debt. But of course the individual doesn't directly pay for the debt but rather supposedly taken from the taxes we pay.

So how does it actually work?

How Do You Deep Clean a Mattress? What Tools Do I Need?

I am naturally sweaty and only use Fan (no AC) so I sweat through the night and the smell sticks to the mattress (and the pillows).

Is there a way to clean this mattress before I invest in a mattress cover?

  2. If you've read any of his works, do you think it holds up to modern manga?
  3. What's your take on old manga like these? Do they have similarities from other works in this era?

Tezuka's work laid the foundation for the development of more mature and socially relevant themes in manga, expanding its audience and artistic possibilities.

Fun Fact

Osamu Tezuka's animation studio, Mushi Productions, faced financial difficulties due to ambitious projects and overexpansion. Despite its eventual bankruptcy, Tezuka's creative vision and legacy continued to inspire countless artists and animators, leading to the vibrant industry we know today.

What do you think about this author and his works?

Hello, I'll try to make at least one mangaka discussion post per week. Let me know in the comments which one you want to see next time.

Any suggestions to make these better are welcome.

Should I Continue Reading Rinne?

I'm about 15 chapters in and it's just the same "enemy" of the week story.

I tried to read it because Rumiko Takahashi (damn she's still making manga at 66).

Does the story get better?

Are There Free Wi-Fis on Train Stations? or Recommend Places With Free Wi-Fi?

I'll be traveling with a big group (family of about 20+) and we might avail a portable wifi device for the group as a whole.

If I plan to do some stuff away from the group, are there any reliable places where they offer free wi-fi so I don't get lost?

What's the Best Non-Alcoholic Alternative to an Ice Cold Beer at the End of the Day?

The flavor of beer is rich and complex and I can't think of anything to replace the experience of beer.

If it helps, I actually like fruity beer, something sweet but with still some bitterness and that complex flavor I can't describe that most good beers have.

Why not a softdrink or a root beer? It's just not the same, it's like a different branch from beer.
