Another reason why DRM is bad and only punishes those who buy the product

DM/PM/IM all mean the same thing

I cancelled yt music subscription today after hearing about the price increase. Musi is a much better iOS app than yt music anyway bc the interface is simpler and it actually lets me play all the music while yt music is like you can't play this song right now due to copyright.

I just found out that you could run pico-8 games with fake-08 which is really cool! Other things I've done include using Tiny VNC to stream a desktop and EasyRPG player for RPG Maker 2000/2003. I've also seen someone install linux at one point.

What other cool or underrated things you could do on a homebrewed 3DS besides the usual play 3DS/DS/GBA games for free?

I noticed your username is the same as Christian Selig's on reddit

Covid has made me realize that no matter how much free time I have, I'd rather do nothing at all than pick up something new.

Backwards compatability. Getting the 3DS has really made me appreciate how many games I can play on the system since I can play 3DS/DS/GBA games all natively. Whatever Nintendo does with the Switch 2, it should be backwards compatible with the Switch so that I can continue playing my favorite Switch games without having to wait for a port.

Even now anytime you access Reddit mobile website and see an NSFW post, it would prompt you to install the app without an option to cancel. Literally the only way to continue without switching to the app was by using old.reddit.com

def the iPad air. iPad mini's screen size is too small.

I bought the M1 iPad Air for note-taking and college and it's been very good for portability and screen real estate. It's cheaper than the iPad Pro and there's not much of a difference except for the screen size.

Also like others have said, you can't replace a proper laptop with a tablet. I own a MacBook Pro and use the iPad for hand-written note-taking especially for math classes. You'll need a laptop to do your work whether it's Windows or Mac.

One of my favorite features of Lemmy is that there's an actual functional downvote button. So many platforms nowadays are removing the downvote button or straight up making it useless. I remember when YouTube used to have a proper downvote button and it made it so easy to tell when a vid was not good or clickbait. Even on Reddit, the downvote button just changes the total score but it doesn't actually show the number of downvotes. Being able to see the actual number of upvotes/downvotes is such a nice thing to see coming back.

I know laptops don't have HDMI In ports but I was thinking I can buy an Elgato USB adapter or some HDMI capture card to act as a monitor with OBS.

I've seen videos of ppl recording gameplay using the capture card but is it possible to extend my laptop display as well with the adapter?

Right now I'm using the Windows wireless display feature and it works well but there's still a bit too much latency and it times out whenever I alt+tab windows so I'd prefer a wired solution.

It’s one of my favorite features in Reddit since I can quickly use it to see general info of the community.
