You buy the license mate. Isn't it how it always is? Isn't it why we call the good ol days license keys? Because we buy those license keys. The problem is not the word "buy" or "purchase" being used. The problem is DRM as its true meaning. Digital Rights Management. How would you enforce a sale of offline single player license keys? When you don't have the keys anymore, you should also uninstall the game. But would you? Hence the need for online DRM. The problem now is that companies don't like it when you resell those licenses and since it is their IP and their right, they can enforce that too with online drm. I am not saying the current state of affairs is good by any means. I am stating how we all came here in the first place. We do need a law for more consumer protection regarding the sale of digital goods. Or fuck, any law regarding digital things. Our law hasn't caught up much with the advancement of technology

The thing that I love about this manga is that they didn't use a lot of "misunderstanding" tropes. The girl realizes quickly why she is being ignored and the dude is also respectful to her and open minded. They both are stupid, but they are both still learning. I love this!

As opposed to any other companies? I don't have the data, but I have a hunch that if you can find every OSHA violation that ended up in death, NASA would be pretty low on that list. Even if you factor in the hours worked.

And that was the point isn't it? Now he HAS to. Motivation is a precious thing for some people. And if he is indeed doing the right thing because he has to, then by definition he is responsible.

People who knows

I think I may know a few of those. But not through play store. They usually scam someone by saying they got a packet on their way and their tracking number must be opened on an app that they send via messaging apps.

I agree, the point is that we need to define "alive" itself clearly which as you stated, is currently beyond our understanding.

If being inert constitutes as not living then yes, virus is not alive. Their "evolution" is not because of their doing/needs but rather due to their construction. In that case I think virus is more akin to a poison. The substance itself can be not dangerous, but due to a metabolism process inside a specific organism/cell, it becomes a dangerous substance. The side effect in this case is just so happens to make another copy of the virus. But this process is prone to mutation as their building block is quite prone to do so, and we get the "evolution".

But it did reproduce then no? Its just like how some organisms are surviving as a parasite. They need another thing to survive mostly as food. But in this case, as a reproduction method.

I prefer concise and accurate documentation than clean code tbh. The reason is that if the documentation stated that it should perform something with side effects a,b,c then I at least know what to expect. When contributing, this also makes it easier to implement something because we have the requirement at hand. Understanding shitty code is easier than understanding human requirements. Shitty code is the language we use to talk with a computer, so at least you'll know exactly what will happen.

Yeah, CodeParade made a game which uses those different geometry. His devlogs is very good at explaining the concept of non euclidean geometry and his recent games about higher dimension

So CAD is simple stuff huh. So does CFD, mathematical modeling of a complex control system, robotics... Man, if only mechatronics is so simple. I daily drive arch btw.
