Was a great game to watch. Was worried Cadiz were going to play very defensively and we would struggle to break them down, but it was fairly open with chances at both ends. Many players who needed something to feel good about will be smiling after today: Rodrygo got his shooting boots back, Lunin looked better than Kepa, Ceballos is back from injury, and Gonzalo made his debut. Many of Cadiz’s players, despite the score line, looked very good. Refereeing was solid with no major mistakes or bias (though maybe that last goal should have been checked? The Kroos challenge to get the ball was rough). All in all, the game left me with a smile on my face, not just because of the win. Hope Cadiz stay up, I have a soft spot for them because of Alex Fernandez and Victor Chust, even though Ivan Alejo deserves to be launched into the segunda.

Tomorrow in Cadiz, Real will wear a special kit saying “we are with you, Thibaut, Kepa, Eder, Aurelian, Eduardo, Vinicius, Arda, Dani, Jude…”

My friends girlfriend cheated on him while she was in Argentina. I guess we can’t really blame her though, she was just taking after the national team

De Paul is an unlikable little baby. Not even Brazilian and I’m livid

Honestly I’d be so excited to see a new team break into the upper crust in Spain (or anywhere in the world) but just like Leipzig, Newcastle, or City, it’s a bullshit rise fueled by financial injection. The players on Girona are doing a good job, full credit to them, but their rise can hardly be called organic.

Oh well, maybe Rayo can finally push into Europe instead of choking in March this season
