This is fucking wild. Its so entertaining to watch Piggy man make these incredibly bold moves and try to say "all I want is to kill the people running the military", as if that's not literally defying Putin in a way that would guarantee pelonium tea. He wants to make Putin out to be the bad guy who's going after the one who's "supporting the troops" and fighting for the Russian cause.

At least here in Canada, I think the economic split between homeowners and renters is going to become massively painful. The government needs to step in and take dramatic action to fix this problem, but doing so could theoretically tank the price of housing, and with so many people having bought at super-high prices, a significance portion of the population (also, the majority of whom have lots of wealth) might get royally fucked. The government might have to make a decision about which portion of the population to protect, and which to sacrifice.

Nobody will ever convince me that this is not pronounced "Bike-ee town".

Yep! Oh the Urbanity is a good one, and Not Just Bike is a classic (although not just about bikes, hence the name lol)

Great video from Tom Babin about bike racks

I bought an ebike and that's been kind of a game changer. Its allowed my partner and I to share a car, and I just ebike around at 40km/hour whenever she needs to drive. It requires a bit of willingness to get cold/wet, and some creativity with bike locking, but it makes those 10-15km distances in my hometown realistically accessible by bike on an everyday basis.

I live in a rural area and have just accepted that owning a car is a necessity. The shitty thing about living in a car dependent system is that your awareness of the shiftiness of the system doesn't necessarily exempt you from having to still live inside of it.

Its a RadWagon 4 that I bought last year to haul my kiddo around (before he was even born lol). The bike's name is Clementino.

I found the berry flat on the side of the road and then zap strapped it to the front for extra grocery carrying capacity. Its a beast of a bike for sure, but hopefully not too ugly 😄

This is a cool development! I remember reading that the mayor of Boston campaigned pretty hard on transit issues. Has she lived up to the hype?

I feel like just regular credit scores are already 100% the capitalist version of the CCP social credit score in the most borlngly dystopian way possible.

Understanding barrel adjusters is really important if you want to tweak or make minor adjustments to your brakes or gear shifting. This is always the first place to start before getting involved with other more impactful methods of adjusting brakes/shifting.

Essentially, barrel adjusters are a great way to fix problems without needing to use tools or take your bike into the shop.

With all of the wildfire smoke in North America right now, it's important to revisit the topic of masking. Turns out, COVID isn't the only thing that will fuck up your lungs.

TL;DR - They say N95 masks work alright, but N99 masks are preferable.
