That needs a very big die.very big for cutrent mobo platforms. But I can see it being tried.making big dies and putting cache to outer borders of CPU walls. And no vchace is vertical cache it son top of die cover and chip itself. Not around it

I think you left the difference of 4060ti vs 7800xt. Its the same as 3060ti in performance and at 400 dollars. Which is the same as 3060ti on sellers now. And for a node shrink and genertion uplift. You gain nothing because its a 50 class die. But it doenst have 50 class die pricing. Navi32 7800xt has 7700xt or 7800 non Xt die. But has 7700xt pricing
I disagree with the 7800xt part tho. Yea naming scheme is as always manipulative but its not that bad... There is no bad product. only bad pricing. And the new card is the same as its older counterpart. BUT its 200 dollars lower on MSRP which is a huuge difference. completely going away from its older brothers price range. Its the same debait as the RX7/RX8 one is much slower but its half the money at launch times. And compared to 4060 and 4060ti which fails on both counts to be good priced and not be a manipulative 50 tier Die parading as a 60 tier product. Its value proposition of 7800xt is good
They are one by one giving support. Priority is on PC cafe picks like PUBG,league, dota, crossfire? Counter strike or even overwatch. If they will ever move on AAA budget single player titles that western audience generally mouths over rather than eastern market that Moore threads focuses on right now. It will be when MT officially becomes avaible to buy in the west
Looking at china's speed on catching on to things. I give it 4 years tops. And unlike things like aytomobiles they long are in the chip business
They already have AI cores for other applications.just like this cobsole generation.AND thinks rtx wont became the norm until the next console generation.this is why they are not trying to make rtx their gimmick yet to try to catch up to early adopter nvidia for the last 2 generations.pepperidge farm remembers how awful BFV ran on 2080s. And their FSR3 "application"(keyword here because biggest turnoff for upscalers are how badly implemented their libraries are) is much better application to FSR1 and 2. Management of AMD doesnt think investing to RTX and upscalers when their CPU and APUs making a lot of money. And radeon generations last 2 releases have been pretty usable and price competitive seeing nvidia squeeze more on consumer lineup
GPUs have their own cooler to compenstate for pricing msrp. And AMD this generation offers much better pricing and performance (rander) with a 50 watts power delta.Intel just has worse performance and worse thermal performance. Also GPUs usually idle and throttle close to 80 degrees.while cpus get very hot spots.
The insanity that after 3 generations. Windows kernel still can't priorotise P-E core usage in games and background desktops. parking them still gives them better results. AMD cache was kinda acceptable on 7950x3d vs 7800x3d debait because games cant utilise that much cores anyway.
And its that all that bios and mobo hoops you have to go through to be compatible for 2 titles.
Intel mostly abandoned ship on any gaming competitiveness. The clock speeds and high tgp is at least has its use in workloads
Please anknowlege that almost everything open to speculation should be taken as face value. Especially how Nvidia's AI boom recently is affecting their pricing (lack of good pricing) on consumer hardware all over their lineup. It might not be the same as 2000 Super series where nvidia was dead on the water trying to sell the RTX brand
I want to know the reason why AMD is hesitant to go to laptop/ prebuilt game. Prebuilts maybe not because of brand recognition leanient towards nvidia.(some sellers admit it very clearly) but in APU's and iGPUs amd should pay off more laptop brands to host their igpus.their 6700m is very price competitive where I live. Like its 2060 pricing... But much better. But you jsut cant find anything on stock or catalogue.I dont know how much nvidia bankrolls partners to stay loyal and pump laptops. But AMD maybe at least try to overcut. You gain Soooooo much market share from laptop sales its insane
Yea why not try to bring the same investment to the market where that company with 10x the market cap and only focuses on GPUs and AI chips can just lower pricing to stay competitive.not like AMD has console, handheld, consumer or Server chips to put RnD budget alongside radeon?
Also people would buy overpay to nvidia is what makes nvidia jack up to insanity that works towards amd undercutting.and also why gpu prices will increase all the time if behaviour is kept.look at 7800xt.it triple destroyed nvidias mid lineup to adjust prices pre and after launch.buying for the undercutter makes both companies to be more competitive at pricing. Which happened at that case.
Market share aint about good vs bad. I saw many people being forced to buy 2050s 3050s because there are not laptops at their price ranges. If amd shat out tons of budget laptops or high end laptops like this on stock that overtook the model amount nvidia had they would took over pretty fast. Because people buy these cheap alternatives and worry about its idle draw problems later in this market. Its that amd doesnt dish out many chips that laptop manufacturers make a lot of models for them
