Worst case you just get told no. It NEVER hurts to apply. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Start with the modern reboot. First episode is a little dry, but later episodes rely heavily on sneaky references to events prior. Especially the specials. Don't be afraid to rewatch episodes as well. The dialogue can move quickly and I've always picked up on details I missed during the first playthrough. Definitely worth it.

My Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra had an update the other day and now I can only see titles and descriptions on my feed. No pictures, no thumbnails, and even when I click on where the picture should be, I can't seem to load anything before it times out.

I stole a phrase from a previous coworker that I have since used in place of "You know what I'm saying?" Or "Picking up what you're putting down."

Now I like to say to people "Do you smell what I'm stepping in?"

I found it hilarious at the time and shamelessly stole the phrase lol

Sync can sometimes be buggy upon new updates, but it is, by far, the best in terms of customization. AFAIK LJD is still a lone dev for the app, so understandably, there are some gaps before major updates if the app isn't running well. He just rolled out a lot of major fixes, and I'm happier than ever. It's definitely worth a try. There are a lot of settings to play with. Don't just dismiss it overnight.
