Thanks for taking the time to write that up!

That all makes sense - though unless there's info in missing, I'd argue the woman should have been responsible for managing her own allergies rather than her husband, but that's beside the point, and I understand your position on speaking ill of the dead.

Whatever the case, it does certainly seem like the truth was steamrolled by a good story - though I do think the waiver arguments underpinning that side of the case will wind up getting pressure tested in pretty short order.

Thanks again.

Meanwhile, Tom Bombadull has the power to end the whole ordeal without breaking a sweat, and zero fucks to give.

I just hope he pays the troll toll at some point.

For sure benefit of those that haven't seen the LegalEagle video, why was Disney likely to be released from the suit?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Yeah - that'd be my guess for an over-complicated code with minimal info.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago (7 children)

The complexity is likely a product of redundancy and error correction in the QR code rather than making it unique. You begin to run into issues with camera resolution and whatnot, but in theory those codes are likely more reliable.

Hindsight is 20-20, I suppose.

...Though in this case, so was foresight.

8 years and a number of Prime Ministers I'd find embarrassing as an Australian after the referendum, and we're still discussing what the Brexit deal should look like. Great job, lads.

Are you a liar, or is the issue that you have toddler-tier reading comprehension? Let's parse this out and see - what's the basis for your wrong, not to mention stupid assumption that I hate disabled people?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Propaganda they believe.

No, if you can't draw the line between me advocating for greater support for a community, and my exploitation of that community, that's on you, my guy.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

The level of stupidity required to believe the legitimately insane mainline GOP narrative is clear, unambiguous evidence of a significant cognitive impairment - i.e. a disability.

I don't support punishing vulnerable people that have been exploited - I support getting them help. The liars should certainly be held to account, but I think your average GOP voter is sincere in their belief - that's how Trump becomes such a central pillar of their identity.

Shall I take your arguments that my position is fascistic or hateful exploitation of the disabled as I advocate for support for the disabled to stop them being exploited by the GOP as extreme, evil stupidity?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I don't think sane people are able to believe in things like Jewish space lasers, so I don't think your average GOP voter should be held accountable for believing that kind of nonsense - they should be provided mental health care and an education in critical thinking skills. The people spreading those insane lies are a different story.
