I mean, Hulk isn't exactly a d-lister. The guy still gets huge pops at wrestling shows. It's more that he's absolutely trashed his rep with younger people by constantly being a disgusting piece of shit.

The "genocide Joe" crowd are, for the most part, well aware that Trump is just as bad for Gaza as Joe is. They're not arguing for supporting Trump, they're arguing that both choices are bad.

This is not a rational position, obviously, because if you care about protecting Palestine you're still better off supporting the Dems to avoid the worse option of Trump, but for a lot of people it's hard to stomach the idea of voting for a murderer, no matter what the justification is. The not entirely unreasonable argument is that voting for the Dems to avoid the worse option basically encourages the Dems to be more shitty because they know they can always throw the threat of the GOP in everyone's faces when they're called out. I don't agree with this argument, but I see how it's compelling to people.

They're not Trump supporters - at least, not intentionally - they're just sick of the whole dicochtomy of being asked to choose between bad and worse. I can understand their frustration, even if I don't agree with the choice they're making.

This, right here. Don't date people who play mindgames. Start a relationship the way you mean for it to continue; with open and honest communication.

Yes, obviously flirting is about dropping hints, and that's fine, but at the point where the hinting stops and one party says "I'm into you and I hope you're into me too", there should be no bullshit. If you like someone you show them the basic respect of saying what you fucking mean.

Children are, at some point, going to learn that the world is an awful place. This is inevitable. But it will go much better for them if, like in the example you're responding to, they've been equipped with the tools required to navigate that awfulness.

What would you prefer? That they teach their child never to exercise any autonomy over their own body? How is that preferable?

I'd say he can't do that (the debt part) but apparently the US supreme court thinks a president can do whatever the fuck they want, so who knows at this point.

They already covered that with 1. And 2.

In retrospect, paying the money and not taking the company might actually have been the more sound financial decision.

"You live your life in a way that makes other people want to be a part of it."

That is really well put, and exactly what happened for me. I met my wife in circumstances that it would be impossible to ask anyone to replicate (to quote Dylan, "I helped her out of a jam, I guess"), but the important thing was that at the time we met we'd both done enough work on ourselves to be someone that it was easy for the other to fall in love with.

That really is the best dating advice; work on yourself. Obviously, on a practical level, put yourself out there; use dating apps, go to speed dating, find social venues that align with your hobbies and interests, and so on. But most of all, put the work into yourself. Therapy will do more for your romantic life than any makeover or platitudes about being confident.

Name the restaurant and give them more business. They deserve it.

Also, we already have new fighter jets being delivered as we speak. Like, that is literally the one thing the CAF does not need more of. PP has already said that he won't even try to meet our defence spending commitments, but now he wants to replace brand new, very expensive jets that we just bought?

This is extremely funny, but also why is no one talking about how stupid PP looks in his white t-shirt and cowboy hat? Like, the dude looks like a male stripper.

No one who lives in the country dresses like that. A white t-shirt and hat are gonna be a brown t-shirt and hat by the time the day is over. Nothing that fucking pristine white has ever been within ten miles of a farm, or a ranch, or God forbid even a garage.

Trump is either so racist that he cannot tell these men apart, or so senile that he has forgotten which of them is which.
