Possible issues with top cover (alien.top)
 

Hello, I have already sent this over to Framework support but wondered if anyone else have these potential issues with their top cover, or If I am just being picky.

Trackpad
I don't believe my track pad shouldn't have this much travel? Feels a bit mushy
(I admit I have not used a non-Apple trackpad in year but can make it hard to use on the go)

Top cover screws
Some of the screws in the cover appear to be over tightened so freely spin, or are missing.

Backlight
The keyboard backlight appears to be pretty dim (very minor inconvenience)

I did thanks, the just turned in the late evening. The 'We missed you stickers' where on the bottom of the box lol.

Update, second day they didn't even attempted to deliver with the note 'Customer not available or business closed.'

This is inline with standard FedEx BS where they report a failed delivery to avoid having to pay out for being late.

Just to help anyone else out in the UK with their terrible support system:
0800 100600 will take you through their automated system but will redirect to UK TNT, ask for representative to skip the automated system. They wont be able to actually do anything on the FedEx system.
03456 07 08 09 will take you to FedEx call center out sourced to India, again they can do nothing to help.

RAM Latency benchmarks for GPU Performance (alien.top)
 

Hi all,

I am trying to find out how much performance is lost when using CL46 instead of CL40 RAM in the AMD Framework 13 7840u.

I have already looked through other posts on this subreddit in search for information but not found any extensive testing results.

Summary

Question: Will the difference from CL46 to CL40 be noticeable when gaming?

I am trying to deciding between getting 96GB of CL46 RAM that would better support my workflow...
Crucial 96GB Kit (2x48GB) DDR5 5600MHz CT2K48G56C46S5

...or 64GB of CL40 RAM that might perform better in video games.

#Use case: I am a software developer that requires multiple VMs for testing, I currently use around 32GB of RAM before opening any VMs.

I am also a gamer and want to use the system for light gaming, CS2, Diablo 4, Titanfall 2, Overwatch etc. and understand the graphics performance is very much affected by RAM Latency.

Going to be traveling for the next year and need to strike a compromise between the 2.
After that year I am going to have a desk with a eGPU (where I would probably benefit more from the increased amount of RAM)

Thoughts and views are appreciated, while tech-y I am unfamiliar with hardware at such a low level
