This is a complete shot in the dark but could the huge power draw come from needing some intense industrial cooling/airflow stuff in/on the sphere?

Edit: forgot a word

As a fellow professional software developer, you are being silly if you don't think people do this kind of shit for fun.

I didn't even think of the ads when writing that, but damn that's probably the worst part of it all! Thank you for adding that major detail, clearly my very minimal usage of most of those launchers was showing lol

Literally the word "as"

Absolutely. Sure pirated games run that risk but communities are big enough to usually snuff it out quickly if it's a malware filled crack. Going through legitimate means a PC gamer is likely to have steam, epic games launcher, blizzard launcher, EA, Ubisoft, and probably more I can't think of. Many of these are clunky and slow and demand online connectivity or multiple sign in auths every time you just want to play a damn single player, offline game

Always love hearing people found supportive gyms! Congrats on the progress and keep at it dude, soon enough you'll be on the other side supporting those in your shoes now!

I hope and assume you're a troll but if you aren't, please, please, seek help.

You pretty much got it! One nitpick, your example of Lemmy.unitedStates is not NECESSARILY a federated instance, just an instance. It may or may not be federated with other instances.

De-federated instances lose communication to/from the instances that said "im gonna de-federate from these Nazis", so again you pretty much got it right :) not silly questions at all! It's a new concept to many people and I promise you MANY people have and will ask these "dumb" (but not actually) questions!

I think the others already gave enough detail but if you'd like to learn a little of the more technical stuff for how the URLs we see (and can edit before viewing) work, look into HTTP "GET" requests!
