If it only happens under load, that would make me suspect the motor driver. It sounds like the circuitry isn't able to handle much current anymore, which would cause it to basically lock itself out for safety, until it's power cycled. Most likely such a scenario isn't communicated to the display.

I'm definitely no expert but I've owned a mid drive for a few years. It could possibly be the nylon gears transferring power from the motor to the bike's gears- that happened to me early on. I'd go full throttle from a dead stop and eventually the gears sheared and binded.

Otherwise, depending on the actual sound it could be the driver fets or the motor itself. Can you post a short video or audio clip of it happening? Also does it only happen under load or can you trigger it with the back wheel off the ground?

Thank you ❤️

I would love to join you! Plans for the week are earning enough to pay for my bills and living expenses, as well as making contact with a local employment agency to help me find a job. I've been doing doordash for several months now and I can see how it's absolutely killing my poor Subi :(

I'm trying to rediscover my hobbies as a way of keeping myself busy so I don't think about buying any more poison. It's bloody hard. Wish bottle shops weren't so accessible- where I am literally every grocery store has a liquor store attached to it.

Nova was my jam for the longest time, then CPL (Customised Pixel Launcher) due to its google feed integration & good customisation. Now that I've stopped using the google feed (I get my news from ~~reddit~~ lemmy) as well as it isn't actively maintained anymore, I've switched to Neo launcher as it's FOSS as well as having a very light footprint and specific features such as categories in the app draw.

As an IT support officer, I (and my colleagues) deeply appreciate that you attempt to solve problems before calling us. There's never ever any judgement if you do that and then need to call us. We're here to help, but trying to help yourself first makes our job infinitely easier, not to mention you reaffirm your troubleshooting skills!

If you've genuinely tried to solve the problem but couldn't, and the problem turns out to be that the machine wasn't plugged in, I'm 100% not going to think less of you for it. You know many things I don't, and visa versa.

I liken it to returning your shopping cart to the bay. You don't have to, but you're making someone's day easier ❤️

This is one of my first plague lord babies, Obama. I often referred to him as the "ambassador of fancy rats" as he was incredibly calm, loving, easy going and inquisitive. Never once did he show even a hint of aggression.

My favourite activity with him was to cook extra steamed veggies and unseasoned bbq chicken with my dinner and let him sniff them out; he'd navigate out of his cage, across the floor and up my leg, where he'd grab a mouthful as big as his own self and run back to the food bowl in his cage and bury his stash in with the existing rat food.

His cagemate, Trump, would then take the fresh food and put it into their igloo. Obama hated that and would immediately take it back to the food bowl. They'd repeat this for hours, much to my delight. I'll post a video of this shortly.

I can't keep rats right now but my goal is to buy a place where I can have a dedicated "rat room" complete with tunnels, foraging areas and places for them to perch and hide, and adopt fancy rats that were surrendered to rescue organisations (which are surprisingly common) and give them all a great chance at life as they're incredibly beautiful and loving. I never thought rats could be such affectionate beings until I cared for them, and I've never looked back since <3 I'm definitely gonna be the 'crazy rat man' 🤣

This is Obama and Trump (I'll let you guess who's who), my first two rattos. They really opened my mind to the concept that pretty much every animal has a unique personality and temperament. I had to put them both down at different times due to ill health; another thing I quickly learned about rats. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed each others' company. Best lil dudes ever <3

I'm seeing a severe lack of plague lords on this instance(?). Here's another of my late mischief, Atlas. He's quite calculating, deliberate and purposeful. Miss his silky stinky butt <3

I don't know a whole bunch on the matter but it could be that the actual IC is damaged. As in, the mechanical components of it are broken or in a state that the IC can't compensate for. Not sure what you can do other than replace the component...

Exactly. The way Android manages RAM is not the same as Windows, ie. full memory utilisation ≠ out-of-memory scenario.

Here's my favourite pic of my late boi, Wheatley. I'd love to post pictures of the rest of my mischief, if anyone's interested.

I also want to see everyone else's chaos potatoes/serotonin spuds/little shitheads too, please!
