Yes, Plasma is unbeatable.
Customization is almost everything for a DE. Customization is the most important this is why I try to use as customizable as possible software (not forgetting about privacy, sure), like #VivaldiBrowser , #linux and anything else like that 🤩

Yes, but you should bring this up on the KDE forums and/or the place where you submit bug reports, because this is related to a relatively unstable OS with new features that are still not “perfect”, so improvement is needed, and the problem you have might help them.
