Yep, riding in my moms 76 Honda civic, my mom would tell me (and my sister) to shut up when complaining about the smoke. Also the lit embers that would enevitably fling back into the back seat still hold some early memories.

Looks legit, how did you season the pork for smoking, wet brine dry brine or just seasonings? I always do mine carnitas style in a dutch oven. Looks great!

No, it's a reference to the lyrics from a Public Enemy song on their 1988 album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back. The song addresses themes of racial inequality and systemic injustice. It's simply referencing the notion that if a person is born half Black from one parent, the child will be deemed Black henceforth.

I think if Trumps plan plays out and if If Project 2025 is enacted it will likely have more than an effect on the US, it will likely have profound effects on the world. It will change geopolitics and economies through shifts in alliances, trade dynamics, nationalistic sentiments, and domestic economic policies.

Thinking it through, it'll probably move towards an increasingly complex global landscape, overshadowed by uncertainty and potential conflicts.

Do I see a fried egg in there? - Reminds me of a burger I once got in Australia they call a burger with the lot. Burger bun, BBQ sauce/ Mayo/ ketchup, smashed patty, fried onion, cheese, bacon, pickled beetroot, grilled pinapple, fresh tomato, lettuce, fried egg, it's a belly buster - Nice looking setup you have there.

There are plenty of third party apps for Lemmy on Android/iPhone or Web, but are there any decent apps built for desktop use? Is it just simply a matter of relying on a web interface currently, or are there any well rounded apps out there that are worth mentioning.
