So proud that my tiny province managed to make the list as the only Canadian warning, great lol

Foxes are not native to that (uninhabited) island, nor are they native to Australia, which is where they crossed over to the island from. Foxes were brought to Australia in the 1870s by humans so we could hunt them recreationally, and now they are an invasive species. We can’t undo that mistake now.

In one slice, cut a third off of each apple, and you’re left with 3 portions of 2/3 an apple each

In what way do you see embracing sexuality as contradictory to being a whole human? Can you give examples?

What was it? This list really piques my curiosity but I know it’s better not to look….

Too bad she’s also a TERF apparently (read the hogwarts legacy NFO, dang lol)

Kind of, but not really. 0F doesn’t mean anything special in relation to human interaction, it relates to the freezing point of some random salt and water mixture (not seawater). 32 is a random number for the freezing point of freshwater which humans do care about, and 212 is nonsense for boiling temp of water which humans also care about and routinely use. The only part pertinent is that 100 is close to, but higher than human body temperature, but not quite where it counts as a fever… just the temperature of a sub-feverish human… how is that helpful! Sorry I really don’t care for the Fahrenheit system and I’m prepared to die on this hill

I didn’t know the answer to this so I looked it up - yes. Over 120 Db can cause damage even if it’s ultrasonic and you can’t hear it. Apparently at 155Db the heat created by the sound wave can be dangerous as well.

[-] [email protected] 47 points 8 months ago

In an ultrasonic frequency we can’t hear. But your pets and any nearby bats or rodents etc may be upset by it..

No need to kink shame the peggers

Are there pro-theft communities that support stealing directly from other (not super rich) individuals? I don’t think corporations are victims of the oppressive system, so stealing from them is still ethically congruent

The community !fossils was created over a month ago, no activity since. The creator/mod has had no activity on their account for the last month as well. I messaged them over a week ago to request to mod the community and got no response.

This user is also parking several other empty communities which I am not personally interested in moderating, but may be nice to free them up for someone who is?

Thanks!

Are you prone to switching out of the calm, logical, and reserved robot mode, and becoming excited, chaotic, and silly? I definitely spend more time in the former, but value the expression of the latter highly.

In terms of MBTI, these would be expressions of the 2 most dominant cognitive functions of us INTP, introverted thinking (Ti) and extroverted intuition (Ne). It is important for me to have freedom to express the Ne side of myself, but it definitely doesn’t please everyone, and it can be difficult to find people who will have fun and play along with you to your hearts content. It is definitely possible to express Ne alone, generating ideas and possibilities for problems or projects of your own. But when used for comedy and absurdity, it really is so much fun to engage in.

How do you meet this need, if it is something you consider important? If you don’t consider it important, why not?

If anyone is watching this community, does it appear that the other two meme posts got deleted, and the two text posts remain accessible? I can no longer see them in my post history or in !intp, not sure what happened but it may be something to do with lemmy.world upgrades
