That's right. I use unraid so I have my photo external share mounted as /library and immich uploads as a /immich_photos share.

The only thing that breaks is my PC when I try to run most jobs concurrently. Just be patient with it. I'm using external libraries instead of importing directly to immich storage

What are you using? I need to carve time out to get my unraid server to work with jellyfin and arr and seed with deluge. My current set up moves the files to the right folder once I have completed my download so I never get over 1.0 ratio.

Every time I went into the Bay in Dorval it would be depressing. To think that this store has not been changed since my father was a child. Management never spent money to renovate and the maintenance on their infrastructure has always been shit.

They're like the Canadian Tire of clothing. The regular price seemed not to matter because there was always a 20-60% off code or promotion. The quality of clothing has also dropped hard. Besides Levi's jeans, and I guess Docker.. the rest of it is fast fashion, drop ship-esque companies.

Just imagine.. Air Canada, Bombardier and O&G companies would be mainly a crown corp

How does that work with NORAD

Unsure if it has changed but in 2018 I was approving and declining transactions manually before 9:30AM that would go through accounts with insufficient funds. Any transaction I didn't have time to go through before the 9:30 cut off would auto NSF

I see what you’re saying, but I think it’s important to clarify the distinction between privacy and anonymity. While platforms like Lemmy and Mastodon might not be the pinnacle of privacy (let’s be real, the most privacy-conscious choice would be to avoid these sites altogether), I believe they offer the best alternatives to the data-driven practices of FAANG products.

If I recall correctly, Lemmy and Mastodon require an email for registration but don’t ask for your cellphone information. This allows you to create a pseudonyb and alias. It allows you the freedom to engage without worrying about a direct connection back to your identity. Sure, there’s still some risk associated with your IP address, but for most people the level of data collection on these platforms isn’t a significant concern. The fact that there’s no monetization of your data means that your conversations—or lack thereof—are private to you and the users you choose to engage with.

Digital independence is about creating spaces where we can interact freely and securely. These platforms allow us to prioritize our privacy, even if they don’t guarantee complete anonymity. It’s all about finding the right balance and choosing platforms that align with our values regarding privacy and data usage.

I keep seeing different versions of this and instead of posting spinoffs of it, why don't we have one central repository that we keep promoting and improving. This would make it easier and easier for normal people to adopt new and privacy conscious solutions.

I recently stumbled across a post in the c/Europe community (https://lemmy.world/post/24641691) that highlighted alternatives to software and infrastructure from Big Tech companies. This got me thinking - is there a similar resource available for Canadians, or would there be interest in creating one?
