There’s a trees sub-lemmy but it only had pictures of actual trees when I checked yesterday

At the bottom of the site, it does say “use Lemmy for less reddit shenanigans”

In 2021/22, besides Ted Lasso and Severance, there wasn’t really any really good TV shows that got me hooked, this has massively changed in 2023 and I’m almost exclusively watching it at the moment.

Ted Lasso season 3 was good, Silo (fucking love this show), Platonic are really good and their upcoming shows also look really good. Apple are trying really hard here and I think it shows, thought it was worth stating.

The episode release format really naffs me off though as I’m hooked and then I have to wait a week, guess it makes sense from a business perspective though to ensure people are paying monthly, (except me with 6 months free access via my credit card)

It is, but reddit don’t own the content on their site according to their TOS, posters merely grant them a license to redistribute it. So it’s not really their call to shut off ChatGPT scraping, it should be a community decision

Honestly, this community is great, feel like I can breathe and have some real discourse again

I remember reddit in 08 and it was better, less toxicity

Would be helpful for most new users to understand how Lemmy works and how the different hosts interact with each other in a basic way.

I put my name forward to moderate if help is needed. I was a 10+ year user on Reddit and have moderated some of my own, albeit low user, subreddits before.

The huge issue with reddits ChatGPT forum is that there was far too much low quality posting and memes, with basically no moderation from any mods.

Is there an API for Lemmy? Can Apollo potential move to this as a source instead?

I think this is where tildes.net is being smart with text only, saves massive on server costs and also is safer to run for the owners with less moderation needed due to no chance of any illegal porn being uploaded

That’s just for difficult people
