Shutting down the sub on a Monday will have an adverse impact on our readers, including possible production issues.

Lol

What I'm about to tell you is the absolute true, I swear on my mom.

I was 13 and had just started being kinky and stuff. I had some porn DVDs, inherited from my father, after him and my mother broke up and I went to live with her.

Anyway, I was just discovering my body, and was home alone when I had the brilliant idea to ride my sofa arm, completely naked. I started simulating as if I was fucking it from above. One, two, three pumps and then boom. Something hurt.

I looked at my dick and it was bleeding a lot. Blood spilling on the ground immediately and I fucking freaked out. I was certain I would have to amputate, or at the very least be very ashamed at the hospital explaining how the fuck that happened.

I turned it around to look when I calmed down a bit and I had ripped my frenulum. It was wide open, the frenulum itself hanging and the part it was removed completely red, bloody, I could see inside.

I tried to cry, but couldn't, I just had to solve it, and could tell nobody about it, which would probably be worse, I thought. I put some toilet paper and it eventually stopped bleeding and wasn't hurting that much anymore.

Took a shower, it burned as I did it, put my underwear and went on to leave to school. As I was leaving my house, my mom is arriving. I had to tell her, I was worried something bad could happen. Told her "I cut my dick". She asked, freaked out "WHAT? HOW? WHAT HAPPENED? DOES IT HURT?". I shook it off, said it was okay now, but I was scared, she asked me to see it, I showed her, she said wtf, let's go to the hospital, I said no, it doesn't hurt anymore. I'll go to school. She asked "how did that happen?" And I could only come up with "I was playing horse rider on the sofa but did it too quickly". I doubt she believed that shit, but I carried on.

She kept asking me for days how it was, and it just kept healing. In the end, it healed completely, and glued back to the skin. It has a scar, but it probably just looks like a normal, uninjured frenulum, and I don't really think had any bad consequences outside of showing my dick to my mom as a teenager.

Yea, not really complaining. I knew there will be stuff that would be missing stuff by adopting it so early.

This post is aimed more to encourage people to do exactly what you said, btw. See shared interests, engage in the same discussions and all.

Voat

As in alt-right, fascist shit?

I don't think this is where Lemmy is going, tbh.

I think it is just normal that it becomes filled with tech people at first. Then these people help the environment improve, new features are born, new apps and then there's a boom,

I have had no luck on the app so far. The search is worse. But you can still use your browser on your phone, login to your instance and do what I'll tell you.

Take a look at this:

https://lemmy.fmhy.ml/post/1470

and this:

https://lemmy.one/post/1600

Basically, you gotta search for your community in the format !community@instance (for example, [email protected])

Once you search it this way, erase the search and search again only for the name 'community'. It will come up. Maybe give it 10s between the first search and the second one.

This happens because it needs to be indexed by the instance first. At least one person in a given instance must have at least searched for it already in order for it to come up. After that, everyone is able to simply search for 'community'.

If you say that is hard and overcomplicates things, I'll agree with you. I think it could be better, but I don't know if it's possible.

I, being someone who works with computers, have had some luck with most of my favorite subs being here already.

Despite that, some of my hobby ones still aren't here. NFL exists, but it's the same as nothing so far. Soccer I couldn't find at first, maybe today it already does? Also, no sign of fantasy football.

I also followed a bunch of History subs, but looks like most people in Lemmy only care about science and technology.

Tell us, what is missing for you?

  1. Searching communities is still hard.

2 )There's a featured/pinned post that appears to me on my account home on lemmy.one, but I just can't see on this account. I went to the community, I searched It top-down and nope, it just doesn't exist for this account, I don't know why

The link also can't be shared, as if I copy its permalink, I got to the lemmy.one instance.

This is one of the biggest improvements it should see, but I don't know if it's possible at all.

  1. Also, the Jerboa app is not very good, but it works(Lemmur doesn't even work). But it is secondary to me, as I think if Lemmy grows, we'll see improvements gradually in this regard.

I think there may be something genuinely not right with his sense of social awareness

I agree with you and if Roman Roy thinks that, there is something seriously wrong.

Coming from Joey for Reddit. They pulled a survey today for its users asking 2 questions: if we'd be willing to pay and how much and for some suggestion for the future of the app.

I said no and suggested them to think about developing an app for Lemmy.

Joey is great. Looks like it lacks tools for modding, but I couldn't care less. It has everything else, is beautiful and customizable.

Such a shame to see it sinking because of Reddit's bullshit.

I really hope we go forward with this migration.

Just a heads up, since I was having some trouble at first:

1 - Go to communities > search 2 - If you search for a given community and it doesn't shows up, it looks like it is not indexed yet 3 - Search for the community in this format !community@instance (Like [email protected]) 4 - After that, I had to go back to step 1 and simply searching for 'foss' returned what I wanted. But looks like the page needed to be updated.

Also, this tool might interest you guys. It is a universal community search in Lemmy instances:
