Oh yeah! Trying, least a wee bit, to get more active here. Good to have a thriving DJ community.

Blockhead I could at least see in a mix potentially, but yeah not sure what I'd do with Olo unless we was getting way way off the rails and a bit surreal.

Left With You is such a vibe though.

Always been big on Ivy. They feel like their own genre -- truly pioneers in the post-dubstep / future beats scene. Very excited to catch em in a couple months. Been on the list for a hot minute!

Cheers for plugs! Soulseek being alive and well is wild. That's an old dog.

big facts for sure.

The handful of controversies over the years across the label have been a huge thorn, no doubt

Juuust can't hang with these weird orange jello fruit whipped cream marshmallow fluff Frankenstein monster concoctions of yours either, Aunt Marge... Nothing personal!

Rhyme Sayers peak underground hip hop for ages. Miss me some SoundSet, so many good acts every year.

When we need to scoot past someone, you're likely to hear an "ope" or even a "just gonna sneak right by ya there." Although ope is much more functional as a word and applies to a multitude of situations.

My favorite local bumper stickers are Keep St Paul Weird & Make Minnesota bigger.

Home of the Juicy Lucy, and 2nd biggest state fair (behind Texas).

The first time I saw the ocean I said "woah, it looks like Lake Superior!"

MN Nice is both a nod to our good side, like pushing each other's cars when they get stuck in snow, and a nod to our gripping passive aggression.

The weather tries to kill you for a good chunk of the year, so we sit inside and learn to play music. This contributes to our incredible local music scene. From all over the spectrum, even niche biz, there's a discotheque for whatever you're into.

We clique'y af tho, and it can feel icy as an outsider unless you're naturally quite good at disarming folks and making friends. Or, so I've heard from my transplants, and even locals trying to swim in new circles.

We love us some cabin time like a mfer.

Oh, I hear ya, but I bet you'd be surprised by what you could endure on a long enough timeline (and a thicc enough jacket). Humans are surprisingly resilient when there's enough time to adapt.

Summer's my favorite season by a mile. Even Fall is hard to enjoy cause the drops in temp feel terrible at first. 65° positively brisk. But every year, across the state, Spring will start thawing and soon as we above freezing dudes bust out the shorts & tee's (usually one or other, ie: hood & shorts, jeans & tees). 50° suddenly picnic weather.

But also shhh... we kind of a sleeper state. Don't blow up my brunch joint 😂

I always naively believe I'll be able to use roads as intended once the ice and snow melt, but somehow my commute gets longer during warm seasons. Thanks construction!
