You can expect something like 2.2-4.5c improvement (Hardware Canucks with a Noctua NH-D15), so it's kind of worth a $10 frame, but at the same time you can live fine without it. Some of the frames are also way overpriced, just get a cheap one.

For those wondering, it does absolutely nothing for AM5. It's the rectangular Intels getting bent into a slightly concave shape.

From watching Hardware Canucks, Intel yes, AMD no. They observed 2.2-4.5 degrees difference with top air coolers on 14900 iirc. AMD is no difference.

Before you even consider the link speed, can the drives in your NAS even read at 10Gbps? An external HDD over USB sure as hell can't, no matter what USB version you have. You'd need a RAID array or SSD storage for those kinds of speeds.
