If you don't like what private entities are publishing, you can always just start your own and only publish the things you like. They can't even stop you, they have to just let you do it!

My point is that it's stupid as fuck to rightly shit on part of the industry that mostly just churns out trash while verbally jerking off over another part that's only marginally better, if it's actually any better at all.

Work on your reading comprehension.

Nah, get with the times. They're putting kids back in factories and kitchens now.

I'd prefer if you asked what the fuck is right with America so the answer can be two sentences rather than the length of a novel.

Go into a conservative space and tell them people have a right to food and shelter and medical care and watch them froth in rage.

But if you specifically say that they have a right to those things, they'll wholeheartedly agree.

Any parent can tell you that a hungry child isn’t capable of doing any complex activity.

Neither is a hungry adult. Free access to food should be a constitutional right.

For real. Who has money for a PS5?

But yeah. Indie is where it’s at.

Sometimes, I guess. What percentage of them ever get beyond years of early access limbo and actually end up releasing as finished games? What percentage of those actually end up either being any better than typical AAA games or offer a significant amount of play time?

Yeah, the good indie games are good, but indie games are no more likely to be especially good, or ever get finished at all, than AAA games are.

Good. If an industry won't compensate its workers properly, it should be burned to the ground, literally and metaphorically.

Not in any meaningful sense. They're both run by the same people. Fox is Fox is Fox.

You're assuming I'm in favor of keeping our existing government intact. I don't. It was shit from the start, and now it's entirely unsalvageable.

Even if the government itself was salvageable, the US is far too ideologically divided into sides that cannot and should not be reconciled with each other.

This country cannot and will not hold itself together much longer, and the only potentially viable course of action is to mitigate the harm that is going to happen no matter what by breaking it up in as controlled and peaceful a manner as possible.

It's because no one is willing to work anymore.

They've got nothing but excuses. "I can't come in today, I got the plague" and "my kid got eviscerated by a hippo, I need the day off for the funeral" and "this famine is making food unaffordable, please pay us more." They're all just lazy and ungrateful for the privilege of toiling.
