I don't understand why the original developer abandoned such good work after getting constructive criticism about the markdown feature as the other lemmy third-party apps also received.

One is man who compromised too much to the right and the other is a inside trader

You’re giving the liberals too much slack here when they need more pressure to do the right thing. The smaller parties and independents only want a fairer system that the most democracies use such as Norway or Sweden, which is proportional representation.

People don’t want to be forced into two camps they don’t like.

Canada isn’t always the smartest country

I would blame the Saskatchewan Party for that as they trying to ruin the crown corporation by using expensive contractors to do shoddy jobs and then have the customers complain thus the public turning against Sasktel so that the big 3 can swoop and buy all the towers in the province to screw over everyone with price gauging.

You’re hypocritical when you’re not in favour: of universal school lunches, safety regulations, abolition of the death penalty and veganism.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to provide a big announcement that Thunder is now available on Google Play Store!

The direct link to the Google Play Store listing is here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hjiangsu.thunder

As far as general releases go, I'll try to keep all the different versions in sync (GitHub, Google Play, TestFlight) to minimize the amount of confusion.

I would like to give a big thanks to @CTalvio for helping with the graphics and screenshots that you see on the listing page, and others for contributing to the overall project! This would not be possible without all their help. Thunder is a community-driven project, and all your contributions towards the project help shape the way it is. If you are interested in contributing to Thunder in any way, feel free to reach out!

If you would like to join in on the conversation for Thunder, we have a Matrix page here: https://matrix.to/#/#thunderapp:matrix.org

Hi there fellow Apple enthusiasts!

Yesterday I announced that my native iOS app for Lemmy called Avelon is finally ready for testing, and I figured some people here might also be interested in checking it out!

My focus for the app has been performance, design and ease of use. As you can probably tell I got a lot of inspiration from Apollo and other iOS-first apps - but I think I've added my own cool spin on both the design and functionality.

Here's a couple screenshots of the app:

If you wanna try it out I'd greatly appreciate any feedback/suggestions so I know what to focus on next! I think the core experience is pretty solid already, but the app still lacks some important features such as adding new posts.

Download Avelon (Testflight)

Avelon is developed in Swift using almost enitrely SwiftUI. For those unfamiliar, SwiftUI is the newest UI library by Apple intended to replace things like UIKit over time. SwiftUI is cross platform, so Avelon also runs on macOS actually, though the UI is not tweaked to fit mac just yet. The tech is really great to work with, and it makes it super easy to fit right into iOS. I posted some more details about the project over on the community page for the app here if you wanna check it out.

Thanks, let me know what you think!

Hello! I have made a macOS client for Lemmy - Leomard. It's an initial version of the app, and my first macOS app made for the public.

Features

  • Mac-native client
  • Fast, small and light (only 9.2 MB)
  • Open source (GPLv3)
  • Beautiful responsive interface

Of course, it's a very early version, some features are missing (ex. image uploading), and you may encounter a bug here and there.

Don't forget to follow Leomard's community: [email protected]

Or jump straight to the project’s Git: https://github.com/Athlon007/Leomard

If you have questions, feel free to ask :)

Hi everybody! This is the initial release of Leomard - a native macOS client app written in Swift using SwiftUI. It’s still in very early phase of development, features are missing, but it’s a start. Feedback is most welcome!
