It is nice for updating a steam library, or downloading a huge file. Other than that, 1Gig is pretty much useless for me.

This would be refreshing. We are currently stretching the real world usefulness of RAM because the relative speed of RAM has decreased with everything around it. RAM improvements would be most welcome IMO.

Dang, my entire house (including my lab) uses about 1100 kWh a MONTH. You have serious consumption going on.

every kernel update, each host gets the boot. So uptime is rarely over a month.

I recently had a 30 min power outage. Internet stayed up and working throughout. I have Tripplite 1500VA ups that has a displayed/load calculated 82 min run time. I only put the most critical things on UPS.

I thought the drop was due to the air friction melting the band off due to running excessively fast.
