I think we can all agree aesthetics are subjective. The down votes are likely for saying anything positive about something related to Musk (or just folks who disagree). Which, to your point, would be an interesting experiment: put one in front of people who don't know who made it and see what they think.
Plavatos
I would argue they were just better at hiding the same type of shit these modern politicians are thinking and saying. Now it's just acceptable. Then you had Howard Dean dooming himself for a cowboy scream.
Harris should hold a town hall at the exact same time....
I can see this from your perspective now, perhaps my context was lacking. I felt it evident as a recollection but those without the context may misinterpret.
Edit: I've added context, thanks for pressing your point!
Primarily because I was sharing how the photos are linked in my memory.
They're also chronologically similar, happening within a week of each.
Lastly, they demonstrate stark differences in policies: a win for the new VP pick who, in my opinion, shows someone who actually cares about children and families.
I would also point out, not to give Huckabee any credit, but the silver lining of that bill might allow kids trying to gain freedom from abusive homes, permitting them to go job hunting on their own (although 14/15 seems super young regardless - they couldn't without someone signing off otherwise). The downsides is parents forcing kids to go to work in dangerous jobs (to your point).
Wondered where I remembered him from, it was this juxtaposition of photos:
Additional context: around the same time Governor Walz (upper) was signing a bill for guaranteed school lunches the Governer of Arkansas (lower) was signing a bill rolling back protections on child labor.

My life is nothing I thought it should be and everything I feared it would become because for 30 minutes I had to put away laundry.
Seeing that picture reminded me his kids are biracial. So to add to this fatherhood moment: he also supports a man who doesn't respect someone of mixed heritage, the very thing his own kids are.
It's not cognitive dissonance, it's wilful suspension of the truth and the reason politics are driving wedges into our families and friends.
Lastly, I'm not a conspiracy theorist but if another country wanted to destroy us from within this seems like a good way to do it.
It's grounding to read that baity title because the majority of articles we see are that "conservatives are [upset/angry/etc] about [event]" but they're likely no more upset than we would be about seeing this....
It's all manufactured rage and we're all victims. The real villain is the distraction/smoke show that keeps us at each other's throats.
