Aside from a server focused distro, all desktop distros should be able to do anything a desktop user may want to do. People are not going to run multiple distros just because one is better at one thing or another. The OS needs to be a jack of all trades and should not be a hindrance.

I think in the end, we all want a Jarvis that is not only a smart home AI but a smart life AI. Maybe at some point we trust it to buy groceries, pay bills, manage our appointments. It makes sure the kids get up on time for school. It takes all the boring adult stuff so we can focus on more of the fun stuff.
