I find this bizarrely reminiscent of Brandon Lee's death.

I can SEE the exclamation mark right there, and yet when I click - my client insists I'm looking for a user as opposed to a community.

Stupid platform growing pains.

Three different spellings of "Palmiotti" in as many paragraphs.

😞

🤔 You're right, this IS pretty much exactly what I need.

Thanks, you've given me the data I wanted, now I need to see how feasible it is to scale & adapt this.

I'm that case, you may be interested in a related phenomenon called semantic satiation .

Our brains are fascinating.

But sometimes only to me.

I'm reaching out to get ideas for a tear down, portable backstop that will fit in a pickup bed and can be assembled reasonably quickly by one person.

Not a target or target stand, that's already taken care of. But not all the places I've set up have a large enough area to negate the need for a backstop.

Primary users will be beginners drawing recurve bows up to but not exceeding 30#, with occasional, more proficient users demonstrating with recurves ~45#.

I hardly share anything, mostly because my wife prefers to keep things private, but nonetheless friends tend to share a lot with me.

Situationally it may be because I was a stay at home dad for some years, & as such I've often been the only male around. Invariably someone will start with, "well you're a guy-what do you think?"

🤷

It's tough to do, but assuming everyone's comfortable and no one's telling secrets I think it's good to share.

☝️ Exactly this.

While time will help, right now cross instance searching is infuriating, especially when you know what you're looking for.

Hey there!

Born in NJ, currently living Chester County PA.

So after growing out of playing Robin Hood as a kid I drifted away from archery. Then about 15 years ago I inherited my grandfather's recurves when he passed and i jumped back in shooting the 55# at an inadequate target in my yard. 🙄

Fast forward a bit & now I have 3 kid bows my 2 daughters either shoot or have outgrown (from the amusing Bear 1st Shot up through the 13yo's 60" 29# Titan) and that I use to introduce archery to local kids.

On a sad note, drawing an arrow with a broken nock last year resulted in the tip of my grandfather's bow exploding and major delamination of one limb.😞

It now hangs on my wall with the other two I inherited which I am too chicken to even string up, lest I frak them up as well.

I plan on replacing it this year, but I can't settle on what with just yet.

Whew!
