Maybe you should think about them as separate components?
Have a battery powered button and a battery powered security camera. Make the button automatically start recording.
Are you concerned about privacy? Are you hoping to host the video yourself or do you want someone like Amazon/Google to have access?
I mean, if it's a recipe that you've made and you want a picture of it, there's a good chance that you aren't good enough at food photography to make it seem anything other than a bowl of generic bits-- I know I'm terrible at it.
With all of the networking required in home automation you should look into learning more about doing things like setting up mesh networks and get ready to offer support plans as a part of it. Set up a small home server and get into HAOS.
